ABSTRACT- Alzheimer Disease (AD) is an incurable progressive neurodegenerative disorder. It is the most common
cause of dementia and is increasing worldwide. Various mechanism of pathogenesis of AD is given and is still under
study. Despite of its etiology, the disease is characterized by presence of senile plaques which is deposition of Amyloid
Beta protein and other is intracellular neurofibrillary tangles. Several other factors like Hypertension, diabetes, obesity
and inflammation, hormonal imbalance are associated with increased risk of AD. This article summarizes various
interventions which have impact on slowing the progression of disease therefore any intervention which delays the onset
of moderate to severe symptoms will have significant effect on patient and their families. Also it includes various drugs
and agents which are currently under clinical trial studies. These agents mainly act upon Beta Amyloid, cholinergic
system,various vaccines, antibodies, γ and ß Secretase inhibitors and modulators, Agent affecting phosphorylation and
blocking of tau protein along with agents which have indirect effect on neurotransmission like serotonergic 5HT₆,
Histaminergic H₃, modulation of acetylcholine response of α-7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. Development of new
drugs is very time consuming process and had very less chance of success. The drug which passes the phase 2 clinical
trials with positive results generally fails in phase 3 trial because of serious adverse effect and lack of drug safety profile. Key-words- Alzheimer, Intervention, ß-Amyloid, Cholinergic

This lecture, presented on February 2, 2018 at the Cady Wellness Institute in Newburgh, IN, represented Dr. Cady's review of the current peer-reviewed medical literature current as of that morning. The concepts of "endocannabinoids" vs. "phytocannabinoids" were reviewed. Themes in the medical literature were explored, including the relationship of the endocannabinoid system and CB! and CB2 receptors to modulate hippocampal neurogenesis, cause apoptosis in breast cancer cells, and many other interesting correlations. A careful review of legal vs illegal options for obtaining plant phytocannabinoids in the state of Indiana was emphasized.
Immune system dysregulation is well-recognized in autism and thought to be part of the etiology of this disorder. The endocannabinoid system is a key regulator of the immune system via the cannabinoid receptor type 2 (CB2R) which is highly expressed on macrophages and microglial cells. We have previously published significant differences in peripheral blood mononuclear cell CB2R gene expression in the autism population. The use of the Gc protein-derived Macrophage Activating Factor (GcMAF), an endogenous glycosylated vitamin D binding protein responsible for macrophage cell activation has demonstrated positive effects in the treatment of autistic children. In this current study, we investigated the in vitro effects of GcMAF treatment on the endocannabinoid system gene expression, as well as cellular activation in blood monocyte-derived macrophages (BMDMs) from autistic patients compared to age-matched healthy developing controls.
Conclusions
This study presents the first observations of GcMAF effects on the transcriptionomics of the endocannabinoid system and expression of CB2R protein. These data point to a potential nexus between endocannabinoids, vitamin D and its transporter proteins, and the immune dysregulations observed with autism.
An 8 year old boy, a case of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy who presented with symptoms of generalized weakness of the body, falling down often, inability to climb stairs except by using all four limbs to do so, inability to play, ride the bicycle or carry his own bag to school and abnormal fatigue was started on Intent Healing(™) Remote healing sessions. At the end of 15 sessions the Creatine Phosphokinase (CPK) levels in his blood decreased from 24,000 IU/L(the value before healing sessions were started) to 7,500 IU/L . His symptoms improved with the healing sessions and he is now able to carry his own bag to school, has not had a fall, is able to ride the bicycle and play games in school and has sustained energy throughout the day with no fatigue.
Transplantation of Autologous Bone Marrow- Derived Stromal Cells in Type 2 Di...CrimsonpublishersITERM
Type 2 Diabetes is a debilitating metabolic disorder which is also the seventh leading cause of death worldwide. Current therapeutic regimes to date have failed to achieve significant long-term glycemic control even with intensive insulin therapy as revealed by deregulated Hb1Ac and C-peptides levels. In the current study, we have evaluated the effect of regenerative cellular therapy for functional recovery from Diabetic pathophysiology. 10 patients with a median age of 51 years were selected for the study and subjected to bone marrow isolation. These samples were processed under sterile conditions for the enrichment of mononuclear cells (BM MNCs) from bone marrow. After strict quality control and characterization of cells, 2 x 106 cells/kg of BM MNCs were infused back into the patient through the anterior pancreaticoduodenal artery. We performed an evaluation of clinical parameters like Body Mass Index, Fasting Plasma Glucose, Fasting Plasma Insulin, HbA1c and C-peptide levels, and followed up the patients for 12 months. Our study showed a reduction in insulin dependency by ≥ 50%.

Genomics is the study of genes of an organism, their compositions and the interaction amongst themselves and their environment.

This is the use of genetic material from a patient for the diagnosis of a disease or to decide which therapy is most suitable. Mostly used in oncology and detection of rare infectious diseases.

Improve the screening for cancers to ensure early diagnosis. If most of the cancers can be able to be detected early enough, they can be treated. Early detection can be aided by the use of genomics.
Genomics can help diagnose some genetically linked diseases. Some diseases are passed through genes. Understanding these diseases and defects can help tame them or treat them, and look for ways to avoid their occurrence in future generations.
Through genomics, drugs can be developed against various diseases. For instance, genomics on various disease causative agents can help a lot in identifying the most suitable drug against them.
Genomics can aide the storage of bioinformatics data, which is very essential. This data can be used even in premarital counseling where the couple can be advised on whether the combination of their genes could result in any genetic conditions to their expected babies. This can help reduce the cases of genetic disorders.

· Oral plant vaccines; these use DNA to create surface antigens when consumed. They show potential in the immunization against Hepatitis B. The research is still underway.
· Heterologous prime-boost vaccine for malaria; Ankara virus has been used to further develop two vaccines with DNA from P. falciparum. This has shown the prospects of reducing infection rates by 80%. This is expected to e used in future.
· Anti-malarial drugs; fosmidomycin is being tested for its effect on a component involved in the life cycle of the P. falciparum parasite, which could help in the treatment of malaria.
· Screening for thalassemias; PCR has been used to observe the mutations that lead to formation of hemoglobin. This has aided in genetic counseling which has seen a significant reduction in the cases of thalassemias.
· Precision medicine; this allows the doctors to prescribe treatment based on the patient’s genetic information. This is presently being used in the medical field.
· Pharmacogenomics; this involves testing the possible outcome when a patient takes a certain medicine. Through use of genomics it is possible to identify possible side effects. This is currently being applied in the medical field.

strategy. It was effective in treating the aggression and impulsivity
in autistic patients. The underlying mechanism of action is not fully
understood but may be related to its antioxidant effect, reduction of
the level of IL-6 as a pro-inflammatory cytokine, and the modulation
of serotonergic and dopaminergic altered neurotransmission
[9,10].
Most recently, both folate and B12 was used to correct
mitochondrial dysfunction through the modulation of complex
I, complex IV, and citrate synthase as important components of
the respiratory chain and citric acid cycle respectively [11]. The
rationale for the use of N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) as nutritional
supplement to treat psychiatric disorders among which is autism
is based on its role as a precursor of glutathione, and its action as
a modulating agent of glutamate excitotoxicity, dopaminergic, and
inflammatory pathways. Despite the initial promising results in
case of NAC, further confirmation in larger samples and with longer
follow-up periods is critically needed [12]. Moreover, a larger
dose than that used in the randomized clinical trial (500mg/day
oral over 6 months) might be effective. In spite of my believe that
autism is a treatable disorder and that nutritional supplementation
as alternative and complementary treatment strategy should
not be ignored, and can help to ameliorate the severity of autism
(Measured as CARS, SRS, and sensory profile), a critical need for
further studies to provide evidence-based guidance to families,
clinicians and individuals with autism should be highly encouraged
[13].
