Today April 15th is the 6th of 7th classes in this EMA 205 class/course. I was looking forward to enjoying a class room environment with each and all the students enrolled in this EMA 205 course. Emergency vs. Disaster : An emergency is defined as an unforeseen combination of circumstances, resulting in a state that calls for immediate action or an urgent need for assistance or relief. Reynolds Tool & Die is an automotive component manufacturer supplying suspension pieces and technology to both other suppliers and major U.S. and foreign manufacturers. Annual revenue is around $50 million, and the company is profitable.
Reynolds has production facilities at their headquarters in Akron, OH; in Bloomington, IN; and in Memphis, TN. Approximately 300 people work for Reynolds, including 7 in IT. The IT staff is broken down as follows:

One network engineer works in Bloomington, one in Memphis, and the rest of the IT staff is located in Akron.
The three sites are networked via an MPLS circuit. In addition to SAP® software, the company uses Microsoft® Office 2010 for administrative work along with several specialized CAD programs for design. The SAP software is two versions behind, but not at end of its life. A data center is in Akron, while the other two sites have smaller hardware footprints consisting of Microsoft Exchange servers for email, a small file and print server, and redundant Active Directory servers. EMC Storage Area Network (SAN) devices are at each site. Redundant backup appliances are in Akron and Bloomington, and data can be cycled among the SANS for further redundancy. While some server virtualization has been achieved, only about 20 percent of all servers have been virtualized with the help of VMWare. All sites use Cisco® switches, routers, and firewalls. Servers, desktops, laptops and printers are all HP®, and are between 3 and 5 years old and the desktops and Laptops use Windows® 7 as the operating system. All servers are on Microsoft Server 2012.
There are no cloud applications. There has been a demand by administrative personnel and engineers for integrating mobile devices with Microsoft Exchange and other apps but to date the company has not implemented a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) or a MDM (Mobile Device Management) solution.

This course has helped prepare me for successful leadership. It has enlightened me about various rights regarding the treatment of students. The learning standards in the course have been helpful. Through the learning standards, knowledge of the freedom of religion and expression was gained. As a successful educational leader understanding that the students have the freedom of religion. Also understanding that students who come from minority groups are likely to be discriminated against or denied their rights. Therefore, advocates for equity in the course of educational leadership and honors diverse views. However, being a successful educational leader understands that children have different learning needs, and this makes them strive to create a strong educational opportunity and provide adequate learning resources.
How do you see yourself using the information in this course to support your leadership goals?
The course enabled me to learn about how to handle student records. As an educational leader, I am in a better position to safeguard the records of students. Upon completion of the course, one understands how to communicate with parents about the progress of children and their rights. I learned that I should ensure that student records are accessed only for educational legitimate reasons. Researchers are likely to ask for students' records, and this means an educational leader must have a proper understanding of privacy laws. The knowledge acquired about the safety of students was important. It was useful to know that teachers are responsible for the safety of students as they must care for them when they are at school or during school-related events. Regarding school attire, it was good to know that one must create opportunities for open discussion with parents and teachers and even community members to decide on the appropriate attire for students.
The information gained in this course will be used to create safe learning environments for children in the future. Students will be protected from harassment, discrimination, and other potential dangers they could face at school. The information will also be used to create adequate policies about various issues such as school uniforms and the level of expression. It will also help to find learning resources for students, especially from the community members. While creating policies regarding various school issues such as student privacy and search, I will use the information acquired from this course. Reynolds Tool & Die is an automotive component manufacturer supplying suspension pieces and technology to both other suppliers and major U.S. and foreign manufacturers. Annual revenue is around $50 million, and the company is profitable.
Reynolds has production facilities at their headquarters in Akron, OH; in Bloomington, IN; and in Memphis, TN. Approximately 300 people work for Reynolds, including 7 in IT. The IT staff is broken down as follows:

· 2 Help Desk personnel
· 3 Network Engineers
· 1 Software Engineer, primarily supporting the company’s ERP system
One network engineer works in Bloomington, one in Memphis, and the rest of the IT staff is located in Akron.
The three sites are networked via an MPLS circuit. In addition to SAP® software, the company uses Microsoft® Office 2010 for administrative work along with several specialized CAD programs for design. The SAP software is two versions behind, but not at end of its life. A data center is in Akron, while the other two sites have smaller hardware footprints consisting of Microsoft Exchange servers for email, a small file and print server, and redundant Active Directory servers. EMC Storage Area Network (SAN) devices are at each site. Redundant backup appliances are in Akron and Bloomington, and data can be cycled among the SANS for further redundancy. While some server virtualization has been achieved, only about 20 percent of all servers have been virtualized with the help of VMWare. All sites use Cisco® switches, routers, and firewalls. Servers, desktops, laptops and printers are all HP®, and are between 3 and 5 years old and the desktops and Laptops use Windows® 7 as the operating system. All servers are on Microsoft Server 2012.
There are no cloud applications. There has been a demand by administrative personnel and engineers for integrating mobile devices with Microsoft Exchange and other apps but to date the company has not implemented a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) or a MDM (Mobile Device Management) solution.
The IT budget typically is between $1.2 and $1.5 million annually, depending on capital expense. Note that this budget ONLY covers hardware, software, services, and licensing. Personnel costs are not included, nor do you need to include them for the Week 4 budget assignment.

This course has helped prepare me for successful leadership. It has enlightened me about various rights regarding the treatment of students. The learning standards in the course have been helpful. Through the learning standards, knowledge of the freedom of religion and expression was gained. As a successful educational leader understanding that the students have the freedom of religion. Also understanding that students who come from minority groups are likely to be discriminated against or denied their rights. Therefore, advocates for equity in the course of educational leadership and honors diverse views. However, being a successful educational leader understands that children have different learning needs, and this makes them strive to create a strong educational opportunity and provide adequate learning resources.
How do you see yourself using the information in this course to support your leadership goals?
The course enabled me to learn about how to handle student records. As an educational leader, I am in a better position to safeguard the records of students. Upon completion of the course, one understands how to communicate with parents about the progress of children and their rights. I learned that I should ensure that student records are accessed only for educational legitimate reasons. Researchers are likely to ask for students' records, and this means an educational leader must have a proper understanding of privacy laws. The knowledge acquired about the safety of students was important. It was useful to know that teachers are responsible for the safety of students as they must care for them when they are at school or during school-related events. Regarding school attire, it was good to know that one must create opportunities for open discussion with parents and teachers and even community members to decide on the appropriate attire for students.
The information gained in this course will be used to create safe learning environments for children in the future. Students will be protected from harassment, discrimination, and other potential dangers they could face at school. The information will also be used to create adequate policies about various issues such as school uniforms and the level of expression. It will also help to find learning resources for students, especially from the community members. While creating policies regarding various school issues such as student privacy and search, I will use the information acquired from this course. Once you have selected your country you will look for a combination of academic, government, NGO, and popular media for information about the existence and application of labor laws in this country. Most countries have very complicated and extensive labor codes, so I recommend to concentrate on 3 or 4 issues reported by academics or the media in the last 15 years. Some examples of these issues are:
· Child labor
· Minimum wage
· Right to unionization
· Workplace safety
· Social security (pensions or retirement schemes)
· Employment Based Health Systems
· Disability
· Profit sharing
· Christmas or end of year bonuses
· Maternity leave
· Child care
· Health insurance
· Employment stability
· Severance laws, etc.
The issues you select should be discussed from the point of view of legislation, not the choices of individual companies to provide benefits to their workers.
Labor Law and Implementation Report
Report Description
Write a 4-5 page and 7 source report on labor conditions (the laws and their implementation). Feel free to add more sources if you need it. The report should ONLY include legislation and government enforcement of those laws (do not the include information about individual company practices).
The report should also discuss implementation of at least one of the issues mentioned in the report. Although many countries have very progressive laws, many fail to have any enforcement mechanisms or the ones they have are not very effective. A report lacking information on enforcement will earn a maximum of 70 percent of the points.
The report should include all elements of a good paper, including an introduction, which should include both a thesis and the specific structure or elements of the report, and a conclusion. The thesis should be a general statement that provides at least one of the following:
1. A general summary of your content.
2. Your personal evaluation of the information the performance of the country in terms of the quality of their labor policies and their implementation.

Dispositions are the values, commitments, and professional ethics that influence behaviors toward others, and, if sincerely held, dispositions lead to actions and patterns of professional conduct. The Grand Canyon University Counseling Program’s dispositions adhere to the University’s mission statement, as well as to the established counseling profession codes of ethics.
The Grand Canyon University Counseling Program have adopted the following dispositions for its students derived from the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics. Although these dispositions are not all inclusive, they do represent values and qualities that are warranted by counseling students. Students who fail to adhere to or demonstrate such dispositions may be subject to disciplinary actions.
· Psychological Fitness: Counselors* are aware and assess their motives for pursuing the counseling profession. They are aware of their unfinished emotional and/or mental health issues, and resolve them before starting to provide counseling services to others. Counselors engage in self-care and seek resolutions to issues that arise during their practice. Counselors adhere to the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics and/or the NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals Code of Ethics.
· Self-Awareness: Counselors are aware of their personal moral, ethical, and value systems and provide counseling services with objectivity, justice, fidelity, veracity, and benevolence. Counselors are acutely aware of their personal limitations in providing services, and are willing to refer clients to another provider when necessary.
· Cultural Diversity: Counselors respect, engage, honor, and embrace diversity and a multicultural approach that supports the worth, dignity, potential, and uniqueness of people within their social and cultural context. Counselors promote self-advocacy and assist clients in advocating for empowerment within their cultural context.
· Acceptance: Counselors foster a healthy climate of change by providing and promoting acceptance, and a nonjudgmental environment during the therapeutic process. They understand their personal value system and do not impose their values, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors on their clients.
· Empathy: Counselors foster understanding, compassion, and avoid any actions that can cause harm to a client. Counselors treat others with dignity and respect.
· Genuineness: Counselors deal truthfully with themselves and their clients, in order to avoid harming their clients.
· Flexibility: Counselors practice a client-centered approach, and align treatment to the client’s goals for therapy.

Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
