The Czech Republic is a landlocked country located in Central Europe, bordered by Germany, Poland, Slovakia, and Austria. With a population of around 10.5 million people in 2009, the capital and largest city is Prague. The official language is Czech, while national minorities also speak Bulgarian, Croatian, Hungarian, German, Polish, Romani, Russian, Greek, Slovak, Serbian, and Ukrainian. The dominant religions are no religion at 59% and Roman Catholic at 27%.
