and it is us who will be affected most by the decisions we take today on Aids/HIV epidemic, climate change, food, energy, environmental degradation, economic stability and the continuing challenge of world poverty.
Such decisions will influence the shape and quality of our future lives and could even dictate how long we will live. So it is very important that us, as individuals and as a group, take a keen interest in these issues now – and make absolutely sure our views are heard.

Managing Coronavirus Fears
There are important health reasons to tamp down excessive anxiety that can accompany this viral threat.
By Jane E. Brody
April 13, 2020
Covid-19, the invisible enemy now bearing down on 328.2 million Americans, is tailor-made to induce fear and anxiety, prompting both rational and irrational behavior and, if the emotional stress persists, perhaps causing long-lasting harm to health.
We’re staring down an alien virus our bodies have never before encountered and which we are currently unable to control. There is no vaccine yet available to prevent Covid-19 or drug proven effective to fight the illness, limiting our ability to protect ourselves. So we buy reams and reams of toilet paper because it’s something we can do to give us a feeling of dominance over a force that threatens to overwhelm us.
“There’s never been a time in modern human history when every person is seriously worried about the same thing at the same time,” said David Ropeik, a consultant on risk management and former instructor in risk communication at the Harvard School of Public Health. And there’s never before been a ubiquitous threat that can be so instantly broadcast to a world of 7.8 billion people.
“We’re being inundated with a constant flow of scary information that overwhelms our ability to be dispassionate,” said Mr. Ropeik, author of “How Risky Is It, Really? Why Our Fears Don’t Always Match the Facts.” “Our brains are screaming to give the coronavirus more weight, challenging our ability to recognize that most people are actually at low risk.”
As with other calamities, it’s the bad news that gets the most attention, not the apparent fact that most people who become infected develop no symptoms or only mild ones and recover fully within a week or so.
Compounding a sense of doom for some people is their inability to evaluate risk and the fact that what is an acceptable risk for one person is intolerable to another. Following the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, many people were afraid to fly and instead drove thousands of miles, incurring a far greater risk to life and limb yet instilling a feeling of control with their hands on the wheel and foot on the gas.
“A risk we choose seems less dangerous than a risk that is imposed on us,” Mr. Ropeik observed.
Not that it’s inappropriate to feel anxious about the risk we all now face, especially if that distress reminds us to be diligent about social distancing, avoid physical contact with people who do not share our household, wash our hands often and well and keep them off our faces and out of our eyes.
But while a certain amount of worrying can help motivate you to protect against possible exposure to the virus, compulsively reading or tuning in to the bad news about Covid-19 throughout the day is unlikely to enhance your emotional or physical well-being.
There are important health reasons to tamp down excessive anxiety that can accompany this viral threat. We have a built-in physiologic.
The presentation covers known Variants Covid -19 of medical importance and the second wave Covid - 19 that hit in India. The factors that led to the abrupt raised number of cases in a short time.
After months of deliberation, the World Health Organization has
declared COVID-19 a pandemic. As it seemed clear for quite some time, the virus will likely spread to most (if not all) countries on the globe. However, actions can still limit its impact.
The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has taken the world by storm. COVID-19 is a member of the coronavirus family, which has never been detected in humans before. There are seven known strains of coronavirus (CoV). Coronaviruses are derived from a variety of animals. The virus has many similarities to Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The viruses can cause illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe health complications.

Non-Financial Information and Firm Risk Non-Financial Information and Firm RiskAJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: This research aims to examine how ESG disclosure and risk disclosure affect the total risk of
companies. Using cross section data from 355 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange, data regarding
ESG disclosure and risk was collected. In this research, ESG and risk disclosures are measured based on content
analysis using GRI 4 guidelines for ESG disclosures and COSO ERM for risk disclosures. Using multiple
regression, it is concluded that only risk disclosure can reduce the company's total risk, while ESG disclosure
cannot affect the company's total risk. This shows that only risk disclosure is relevant in determining a
company's total risk.

Exploring Factors Affecting the Success of TVET-Industry Partnership: A Case ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to explore factors affecting the success of TVET-industry
partnerships. A case study design of the qualitative research method was used to achieve this objective. For the
study, one polytechnic college of Oromia regional state, and two industries were purposively selected. From the
sample polytechnic college and industries, a total of 17 sample respondents were selected. Out of 17
respondents, 10 respondents were selected using the snowball sampling method, and the rest 7 respondents were
selected using the purposive sampling technique. The qualitative data were collected through an in-depth
interview and document analysis. The data were analyzed using thematic approaches. The findings revealed that
TVET-industry partnerships were found weak. Lack of key stakeholder‟s awareness shortage of improved
training equipment and machines in polytechnic colleges, absence of trainee health insurance policy, lack of
incentive mechanisms for private industries, lack of employer industries involvement in designing and
developing occupational standards, and preparation of curriculum were some of the impediments of TVETindustry partnership. Based on the findings it was recommended that the Oromia TVET bureau in collaboration
with other relevant concerned regional authorities and TVET colleges, set new strategies for creating strong
awareness for industries, companies, and other relevant stakeholders on the purpose and advantages of
implementing successful TVET-industry partnership. Finally, the Oromia regional government in collaboration
with the TVET bureau needs to create policy-supported incentive strategies such as giving occasional privileges
of duty-free import, tax reduction, and regional government recognition awards based on the level of partnership
contribution to TVET institutions in promoting TVET-industry partnership.

The Challenges of Good Governance and Project Implementation in Nigeria: A Re...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT : This study reveals that systemic corruption and other factors including poor leadership,
leadership recruitment processes, ethnic and regional politics, tribalism and mediocrity, poor planning, and
variation of project design have been the causative factors that undermine projects implementation in postindependence African states, particularly in Nigeria. The study, thus, argued that successive governments of
African states, using Nigeria as a case study, have been deeply engrossed in this obnoxious practice that has
undermined infrastructure sector development as well as enthroned impoverishment and mass poverty in these
African countries. This study, therefore, is posed to examine the similarities in causative factors, effects and
consequences of corruption and how it affects governance, projects implementation and national growth. To
achieve this, the study adopted historical research design which is qualitative and explorative in nature. The
study among others suggests that the governments of developing countries should shun corruption and other
forms of obnoxious practices in order to operate effective and efficient systems that promote good governance
and ensure there is adequate projects implementation which are the attributes of a responsible government and
good leadership. Policy makers should also prioritize policy objectives and competence to ensure that policies
are fully implemented within stipulated time frame.

ABSTRACT: Although a significant amount of literature exists on Morocco's migration policies and their
successes and failures since their implementation in 2014, there is limited research on the integration of subSaharan African children into schools. This paperis part of a Ph.D. research project that aims to fill this gap. It
reports the main findings of a study conducted with migrant children enrolled in two public schools in Rabat,
Morocco, exploring how integration is defined by the children themselves and identifying the obstacles that they
have encountered thus far. The following paper uses an inductive approach and primarily focuses on the
relationships of children with their teachers and peers as a key aspect of integration for students with a migration
background. The study has led to several crucial findings. It emphasizes the significance of speaking Colloquial
Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and being part of a community for effective integration. Moreover, it reveals that the
use of Modern Standard Arabic as the language of instruction in schools is a source of frustration for students,
indicating the need for language policy reform. The study underlines the importanceof considering the
children‟s agency when being integrated into mainstream public schools.

Covid 19
1. COVID19 – a rising pandemic in new emerging era
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a recently
discovered coronavirus. I hope you are reading this article in good health. We have
been suffering from this deadly disease for over a month and everything is still
standing today. This is something I have never seen or experienced before and
everyone is so devastated in this terrible situation where everyone is looking for
redemption and everyone is fighting for their survival while the world is facing the
greatest unknown challenge in human history.
At first, no one was aware of what was coming when Covid-19 stepped up and the
world began to die down. It not only forced us to stay home, but also brought many
social and economic problems. Nobody has thought that suddenly schools, offices,
factories, therefore, everything must be closed and governments will face such a
critical situation worldwide. This corona virus has not only shocked the world, it is
also crumbling day by day as we are all learning about the increasing number of
deaths worldwide. The deadly virus started in the Chinese province of Wuhan and
spread worldwide in a very short time.
People and communities weren't ready for this shutdown at all because this is the
first time we've all faced a situation like this and we really don't know how to
respond. As the virus spreads through the air, surfaces, and other forms, everyone is
dangerous to everyone. Leaving your home feels like a suicide mission becauseyou
can't see Covid-19 approaching you and the most important fact that you won't feel
symptoms early, it takes 7 to 8 days for Covid-19 to show its color in good health.
Older people over 50 and children under 05 are the most vulnerable.
Currently, when we face the exponential growth of the corona virus that surrounds
us, we are also beginning to observe that things become critical with each passing
hour. Not only is the health care system ofmost developed countries on the verge of
collapse, but each government is doing everything possible to save its citizens and
use all available resources. Law enforcement agencies have been called to enforce
the blockade and also to assist government health agencies in this time of crisis.
2. With all this, we must realize that all the power, wealth and nuclear weapons that a
nation acquires by using billions of dollars at the cost of improving the health care
system and basic education or let me say about well-being basic of its citizens was
useless. You cannot kill the virus with a weapon, tank, or nuclear bomb, you need
to have a robust healthcare system with extensive research and development.
Now scientists and pharmacists around the world are trying to find the vaccine for
Covid-19 and would not have heard that any two nations is collaborating on this.
Still, the world left due to the long selfish differences of the year. This is the time
when we all must collaborate, since we all face the same Covid-19. As the days go
by, conditions around the world get worse and there are also countries that report
more than 200 deaths per day and there is no place in cemeteries.
On the other hand, the world economy is struggling, the price of oil is becoming
cheaper, and things in need, such as groceries, masks, etc., are becoming expensive
due to the large gap between demand and supply or due to grabbing these things that
are no longer available in some parts of the world. Countries where the poverty rate
is already very high will transmit aid and will not forget countries devastated by war.
People living in third world countries or where war is going on could survive the
virus, but unemployment and the lack of food and medical supplies in this situation
are making their lives even more miserable.
These countries have no choice at all, but thanks to the United Nations for calling
for an unconditional ceasefire worldwide and asking for help to those who need it
most, but our physical instincts are still alive and we are still listening to news ofthe
violence from somewhere in the world. Although the toxic factories are closed, very
few are driving, so on the other hand, nature has begun to demand their food, as
journalists around the world now report on clean lakes, less carbon emissions and
animals roaming freely.
Many say that Allah Almighty has put us in this situation because of our sins, some
say that due to the large amount of blood spilled from innocent people God is
punishing us, some say that every 100 years the world faces a pandemic, therefore
Each schoolof thought and individual has its own reason, but very few are there to
leave all these logics behind and combat from the front.
3. No matter where this coronavirus came from and how long it will take to find a cure,
we must all act together in this time of crisis. Since everyone needs everyone's help
now, we should look around us and help those who cannot and struggle to survive.
Today, the world is calling all of humanity and we must all respond accordingly to
move forward together on this.
The best way to prevent and slow transmission is to be knowledgeable about the
COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes, and how it spreads. Protect yourself and
others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based disinfectant
frequently without touching your face. The COVID-19 virus, while not as deadly as
SARS, has been shown to be much more pervasive. It took less than two months
from the discovery of the first infection for the number ofconfirmed cases to exceed
the total that SARS reached over several months. And in three months, COVID-19
has killed more than five times as many people as SARS.
The new coronavirus is shaping up to be a huge stress test for globalization. As
critical supply chains break and nations stockpile medical supplies and rush to limit
travel, the crisis is forcing a major re-evaluation of the interconnected global
economy. Globalization has not only allowed the rapid spread of communicable
diseases, but has fostered a deep interdependence between companies and nations
that makes them more vulnerable to unexpected crises. Now companies and nations
are discovering how vulnerable they are.
