I have chosen this image(figure 1.) to remain as the front cover
background to my music magazine. I have chosen this specific
picture are I believe that the facial expression posed on the model
portrays her to be very intimidating and captivates the
audience, which in turn makes it eye catching and intriguing. As it
draws the attention of the reader in, it also starts to reveal the other
details that the image holds, such as the sitar which then can relate to
the reader and hint towards the fact that the magazine itself is off the
Indian classical music genre. This is the exact image I was hoping to
depict as my front cover as it is self-explanatory in terms of
advertising to the reader what to expect. It gives the reader a rough
insight into what to expect and based on their initial reaction can be
the selling point of all magazines. I am glad this image captivates and
intrigues the reader as due to high amount of competition I believe
my magazine will attract more readers and relate to a new audience.
