 Coaching and Networking: At Apex Labs Recruitment Ltd, I help job seekers understand what job roles to look for. I teach
them how to professionally create LinkedIn profiles by optimising the headline and sub-headlines, profile photo, summary
section, and achievements, among other sections. I also teach them how to write cover letters to get interviews, how to
connect with alumni,and how to identify industry problems and trends and develop networks. Furthermore, I demonstrate
how to profilecompanies of interest,as well asconnectwith internal recruiters and hiringmanagers directly.Wealso develop
email messages for reachingout to the companies’decision-makers and coach candidates through researchingsolutions to
a company’s challenges,writingbrief commercial papers,and sending them to the company’s decision-makers.In addition,
I train job seekers on in-person and phone-screening interview skills and salary negotiation skills. Also, I sit as an ‘industry
advisory board member’ of the University of London advisingon graduateemployability networkingwith practitioners.
 Social Media: I have developed a strongpresence on social media.For example, nearly 24,000 job seekers and professionals
followme on LinkedIn. Job seekers have downloaded my CV, and cover letter templates nearly 3,000 times, indicatinghow
useful they considered my ideas and approaches to writingthese documents.
 Facilitation: At Solutions Recruitment Ltd, I have assisted the team with sourcing.net developers for over 15 UK
companies,used our CV resource platforms to find talented candidates,negotiated contracts,and placed successful
candidates,all whileworkingremotely and part-time.
 Communication and Presentation: I have published over 60 articles and 150 posts on LinkedIn on practical ways to
implement each of the job-findingactions stated above.I have also developed 12 themes which I use in coachingsoon-to-be
graduates on how to prepare for the job hunt so that they can land their dream jobs upon graduation. I presented these
themes to professional colleagues who reviewed them during our Instituteof Recruitment Professionals’annual meetingin
October 2018.
Workingin the privateemployment agency subsector has given me an invaluablefoundation,and nowI amready to move into career
advisory in a university setting. I am eager to learn more about the University of London’s strategies for transitioningpostgraduates
