This document provides a course guide for the course "Muslim Family Law in Sri Lanka" taught at the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka. The course is a 3-credit, 45-hour course offered to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Islamic Law & Legislation students. It will examine laws relating to marriage, divorce, adoption, and other family matters within the Islamic legal framework and Sri Lankan legal system. Students will analyze sources of family law in Sri Lanka's pluralistic system and apply their knowledge to solve legal disputes.
