You Will Need:
  1. Pencil, Colored Pencils, Periodic
     Table (textbook-196-197)
  2. Counting Total Atoms in
     Compounds + Bohr/Lewis Dot
     Review– Bookshelf – 2 pages 4
     sides- Please STAPLE
  3. Ionic & Covalent Bonding – Due
     Now
  4. STAR CARDS #1-30 – Put into box
     on front table
You Will Have:
  1. 15 min to complete the quiz
  2. When done, Please place into
     the turn in tray
  3. Wait patiently while others
     finish
  4. Get out Yellow, Green, Red and
     Blue colored pencils or markers
1) Count the Atoms of one molecule
2)and then multiplying that by how
  many molecules you need to build.
Example:         Coefficient

#2: 4 HNO3
 H=1
                                   20
 N=1       5 atoms     X       =
 O=3                               atoms
                       4
1) You will need: Yellow, Red,
  Green and Black
2)Color molecules according to key
    Yellow = Hydrogen
    Red = Oxygen
    Green = Chlorine
    Black = Carbon
1) Build a model of Compound
 Listed Below
 • Managers = CCl4
 • Materials Managers= C2H4
 • Oral Presenters = CH3OH
 • Timer/Designer = HCHO
 Get my signature for Points
1) Speed and Accuracy will
  win!
2)Use your classroom as a
  resource.
3)First table to hold up correct
  required molecules wins.
1) Build 4 water molecules
2) Build 2 diatomic Oxygen
   molecules
3) Build 2 CO2 molecules
4) Build 2 Hydrochloric acid
   molecules (HCl)
5) Build 2 Methane molecules
   (CH4)
1) Materials Managers – Check
 your box!
       • 2 blue         Sp
                     pu     r in
