1. Student-Athlete Priority Registration
• What is it?
• Provides student-athletes with an opportunity to register for
courses one day prior to everyone else on campus.
• When is it?
• November 2nd, beginning at 8:30am
• Why is it important to prepare?
• Preparing for priority registration is a multi-step process.
• Not preparing for priority registration could prevent you
from enrolling in courses on November 2nd.
2. Student-Athlete Priority Registration
How to prepare?
Make an appointment with your Academic Advisor in your
College; if you have not yet declared a major, you will meet with
your assigned First-Year Advisor.
All student-athletes will receive an email from Kris Livingston
informing them to begin preparing for priority registration. You do
not need to wait for this email to begin preparing!
Academic Advising appointments are scheduled on MyCUHub
(http://www.colorado.edu/mycuhub/), unless you are a Business
Major. Business majors schedule academic advising appointments
on the following website: leeds.ly/ugadvising.
4. Preparing for Your Academic
Advising Appointment
• Why do I need to prepare?
• This is your educational experience!
• Research classes that YOU are interested in!
• How do I prepare?
• Review your Degree Audit to determine which courses
are required to take in your major.
• Research which classes are available for you to take
based on your team’s practice time. This is done on the
Registration Portal on MyCUInfo.
8. Meeting with Your Academic Advisor
After reviewing your degree audit and researching which courses are
available for you to take based on your team’s practice time, you are ready to
meet with your academic advisor.
During your academic advising appointment you will discuss the courses you
would like to take and your advisor will make sure they are adequate for a
second semester college student.
Your academic advisor will give you a planning form that you must keep and
bring to your academic coordinator in Athletics (failure to complete this step
will prevent you from participating in priority registration)
If you have not declared a major, you can do so at your academic advising
appointment. Be sure to let your academic coordinator in Athletics know if
you declare a major.
9. Meeting with your Academic
Coordinator in Athletics
Why should I meet with my Academic Coordinator?
Your academic coordinator will review your planning sheet and make
sure the classes you are considering are appropriate based on your
travel schedule and other athletic specific factors.
Your academic coordinator will double check your planning sheet to
make sure everything looks appropriate for a student in a particular
major.
Also, you are required to provide your academic coordinator with a
copy of your planning sheet.
10. Next Steps
Now that you have seen your academic advisor and met with
your academic coordinator in athletics, you need to verify there
is nothing standing between you and enrolling in classes.
1. Verify your enrollment date on MyCUInfo. Your enrollment date
should be November 2nd; if it is not, contact your academic
coordinator immediately.
2. Take care of any registration holds (ex. Past Due Balances, Final
High School Transcripts, Incomplete Bystander Intervention
Training, etc.).
**Registration holds are visible on MyCUInfo by clicking on the
“Alerts: Holds, To-Do Items” text box.**
11. Next Steps (continued)
3. Add the courses you intend to take to your shopping cart
using the Registration Portal on MyCUInfo.
4. If applicable, meet with your Residential Academic Program
(RAP) Coordinator and complete the appropriate paperwork;
keep in mind living in a RAP requires you to enroll in at least
one class in the RAP.
**Your Academic Coordinator in Athletics can help you with any
of these items**
