Teach your Academic Advisors to interact with their students in a manner that is friendly and motivating while remaining professional and earning the student’s trust and respect.
Academic Advisors are your students’ guide and mentor on the challenging road from enrollment to graduation. They must be friendly and motivating while remaining accurate, scholarly and always professional. Proper grammar and appropriate vocabulary will serve to remind students that your institution is one not only of higher education, but of higher standards.
Teach your Admissions Advisors to communicate with verbiage and grammar that is an appropriate representation of your school and indicative of the caliber of education you provide.
Admissions Advisors are the first line of interaction with prospective students. How they speak is as important as what they say in determining a prospect’s opinion of your University. Poor grammar, inappropriate verbiage and colloquial vocabulary are wrong and potentially damaging to both the advisor’s success and your reputation. This workshop will clarify the most common errors and help advisors improve this crucial conversational skillset.
Teach your Financial Aid Advisors to communicate with language that is polite, professional and neutral but at all times remains accurate, respectful and compliant.
Financial aid is often what makes it possible for students to attend college, yet the Department of Financial Aid is frequently home to your students’ most negative experiences while in school. The manner in which a Financial Aid Advisor communicates with students can make all the difference.
Teach your Career Services Advisors the level of verbal communication skill required to lead by example and inspire their students to embrace the conversational skillset required for future success.
A great Career Services Advisor will inspire students to embrace professionalism in all manner of their interaction. Their verbiage, diction and vocabulary must be exemplary and their personal presentation must be nothing less than perfect.
Reinforce your Career Services Representatives’ existing knowledge of general interview skills, personal presentation, negotiating tactics and the art of answering the question.
Teaching students the interpersonal and interview skills necessary for the world after college requires that Career Services Advisors not only know the drill, but also talk the talk, walk the walk and set the example. This highly interactive train-the-trainer seminar will fine tune their skills and help them understand how to best practice what they preach.
Train your Admissions Advisors to initiate the conversation, control the interaction, ask the important questions, qualify those students who are ready and appropriate for your school and accurately identify those who are not.
An admissions interview is the first and best opportunity to determine if a potential student is qualified and motivated enough to succeed at your institution. Expectations are as important as information and certain key questions have to be asked. Unless you are prepared to admit everyone who applies, regardless of potential to graduate, a strong interview is also necessary to determine who is not ready.
A train-the-trainer experience that teaches your Academic Advisors to help their students with time management, goal setting, problem solving and motivation.
A good Academic Advisor acts as your students’ personal life coach to help them navigate the occasionally rocky waters of the student experience. An effective advisor can help students through almost any challenge faced while in school. An inferior one can do as much, if not more, damage than good.
Learn how to handle frequently encountered parental admissions challenges with professionalism and respect. Handle them properly and parents can be a powerful ally. Handle them poorly and they can become your biggest enemy.
Parents may have a profound influence on the choice of college. They often have strong opinions, frequently have closed minds, and sometimes exercise absolute control over the funding... so how you involve them in the admissions process is of vital importance. Adept parent management may determine the difference between a shopper and a student.

Smart student program project campus to corporateSarwan Singh
The aim of every student after completing education is to secure a good job. They also want to make good & steady progress in professional & personal life. But; they are neither able to secure a good job nor able to achieve the success they aspired for.
Also; many professional complain that though they work very hard but they do not get the success they deserve but their undeserving colleagues get better increments.
The reason for this disturbing phenomenon is that we are not aware of what is needed to get jobs. Good marks equal good job is a myth. If I work hard I will get good increments & a promotion is another myth.
Keeping this in mind The English Academy has started a project:Smart Students Program-Project Campus to Corporate
This project aims to appraise the students entering the job market what qualities & skills employers actively look for in a potential employee at time of interview.
This project also presents to the working professionals the qualities & skills employers look for when deciding on promotions & increments.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
