Strengths
After completing the strength finders test, I learned my
dominant strengths and it gave me a sense on what areas I am
strong in. It allows you to work in the areas that you are good in
and not in the ones you might not be as strong in. My top five
strengths were competition, achiever, consistency, harmony, and
discipline. A lot of these I figured I would have because I am an
athlete and I love to compete. That is good because I practice
these strengths every day which in turn will make me better at
them and will allow me to use them in my career.
Competition is by far one of the best strengths you can
have. I am glad because it showed up as being my number one
strength. In today’s society you will get no were without being
competitive because in order to be successful you have to
compete with everyone else in the world to come out on top. It
has even come so far in today’s society that those with four year
bachelor’s degrees aren’t even enough in some cases. I am a
football player so I have to compete every single day, if I want
to play then I have to out compete and beat everyone else. I am
glad competition is my number one strength because to me it is
the most important strength.
My second strength is being an achiever. Being an
achiever means that you have great stamina and you are always
working hard to complete your goals. Achievers also like to be
very productive and busy. If they have something that needs to
be done then they will pick that over sitting down and doing it
later. This strength is very good as well because it means I am
always on top of things and getting done what I have to get
done. This will be great to have in the working field because I
will not fall behind and procrastinate causing customers to get
angry or even losing my job. An achiever is normally your
supervisors, managers, vice presidents, etc. The reason for this
is because they tend to normally have more things to do and
more on their plate and they can handle it all very well without
falling behind.
Would you like to have consistency in your top five
strengths? It ends up being my number three and it is such a
great strength to have. It is a different kind of consistency than
you are thinking. It isn’t the consistency where you do well
time and time again without messing up or always doing your
work without doing it. People with this consistency are treating
all people the same no matter the situation. They don’t care
about your background or what connections you have. They are
very aware people and think of everyone equal. I have seen this
strength in me when I just recently helped out at the church
working a camp with autistic children. We were assigned three
children to stay with the whole day and we had to play various
sports with them and get to know them. I had a great time with
these kids and although they were autistic I had a great time and
didn’t really even notice they had it. We all got along very well
and I treated them just as if they are anyone else.
When you hear harmony your mind automatically takes
you to your folder of music. It being a strength of mine, it has
nothing to do with music. This is the only one of my strengths
that I absolutely didn’t expect to get. Saying that I had no idea
what it was either. I thought of music as soon as I saw it and I
told myself, “I have strength in music?” I have no history in
music playing whatsoever so it stumped me. The strength of
having harmony is when people do not like to argue so they
seek for areas in agreement. This was very interesting because
this describes me very strongly. If my friends and I ever
disagree, I will always act like they are right even if I know
they aren’t just so there is no arguing. I will try to avoid
arguing as much as possible because I dislike it so much. I can
see there being a downside to this strength as well.In some
situations I need to keep arguing if I know I’m right. It would
be standing up for what my opinion is and every body’s opinion
is important. This strength tells me that I need to stop trying to
avoid arguing and sometimes let it happen. If I know that I’m
right then why give up. This is the only strength I didn’t like
about myself as well. It does have some good sides to it but I do
see there being many weaker sides to it.
My final strength is discipline. Even though it is my fifth,
this is one of my favorites. I would say this describes me most.
Discipline is when the person loves to have a routine and
structure in everything they do. They like to plan out there
whole day and follow it exactly. I do this with all of my school
work especially. I will write down all of my homework, what
day it is due, what is going on the next day, etc. I hate going
through my day not knowing exactly what is going on because
then I feel rushed and as if I am going to miss something. I do
not see there being one weakness in discipline. It is all positive
and anything with discipline is good. I began to learn discipline
at a very young age. In the practices and games it is all about
discipline. From the start of warm-ups till the last play, it is all
discipline. If there is no discipline on the field then it will look
terrible and you will most likely get beaten. My dad has always
told me that if I have discipline in life then I will be a very
successful person. This was far before I knew my five strengths
so it was really cool to see discipline come up on my list. I
could relate to it very well and had a great mental picture from
my past experiences and what this strength can do for a person.
My five strengths are very good and important to have to
be successful in life. They are even better if you work with a
person that has some strength’s you don’t have and strength’s
you have that they don’t. It will make your tasks you are trying
to complete much easier because all of your strengths are
working together making it much easier for one another. Now
knowing all of my strengths very good I can now know what
areas to work in which will make it easier for me because I will
be strong in that area. I did see some strength’s on the list that I
didn’t have that would benefit me. I am going to begin to work
on some of the things I do like becoming a woo. That will help
me out a lot with my connections and getting to know more
people. Being a woo will benefit me greatly in the working field
and I plan on gaining this strength.I can now work on
strengthening every part of me making me a strong person in
every strength on the list.

Relator
SHARED THEME DESCRIPTION
People exceptionally talented in the Relator theme enjoy close
relationships with others. They find
deep satisfaction in working hard with friends to achieve a goal.
YOUR PERSONALIZED STRENGTHS INSIGHTS
What makes you stand out?
Because of your strengths, you are occasionally willing to be
vulnerable. Perhaps you claim your
talents or admit your weaknesses. Your openness may help some
people know you better as a
person. Your straightforward style may convince others you are
honest, dependable, and reliable.
Chances are good that you may be convinced that you are
measuring up to your potential. Perhaps
you know when you are doing your best work or earning the
highest grades you possibly can.
Instinctively, you might feel life is good when you are truthful
about your talents, education,
successes, experiences, or background. You attempt to dispel
certain illusions you have about
yourself or that others have about you. Maybe this is one of
your priorities. When you do not pretend
to be someone you are not, you might be happier. By nature,
you might feel upbeat and cheerful
when you keep busy. Perhaps you derive satisfaction from
producing certain kinds of tangible
outcomes. Driven by your talents, you occasionally feel in sync
with life when you have clarified either
your own or someone else’s performance objectives. Perhaps
you enjoy talking with certain types of
people who seem to be aware of their personal or professional
goals.
QUESTIONS
1. As you read your personalized strengths insights, what
words, phrases, or lines stand out to you?
2. Out of all the talents in this insight, what would you like for
others to see most in you?
Depending on the order of your themes and how you responded
to the assessment, some of your themes may share identical
insight statements. If this occurs,
the lower ranked theme will not display insight statements to
avoid duplication on your report.

Restorative
SHARED THEME DESCRIPTION
People exceptionally talented in the Restorative theme are adept
at dealing with problems. They are
good at figuring out what is wrong and resolving it.
YOUR PERSONALIZED STRENGTHS INSIGHTS
What makes you stand out?
It’s very likely that you might engage in self-improvement
activities once you have identified things you
need to know more about or do better. Perhaps you hope to
minimize some of your shortcomings. By
nature, you might be more upbeat about life when you can
determine why you failed to reach a
particular goal or standard of excellence. Once you identify
your errors, lack of knowledge, or need to
practice certain skills, perhaps you devise a plan to improve
your performance. Instinctively, you
sometimes concentrate time and energy on eradicating — that
is, doing away with — your limitations.
When you can conquer a shortcoming, perhaps you feel a bit
more optimistic about yourself and life in
general. Chances are good that you periodically study your
mistakes to prevent them from happening
again. Perhaps you gain valuable insights from life’s “teachable
moments” — even the painful ones.
Because of your strengths, you are keenly aware of your
limitations and deficiencies. This knowledge
motivates you to take advantage of self-improvement
opportunities in the workplace, educational
settings, or your community.

Responsibility
SHARED THEME DESCRIPTION
People exceptionally talented in the Responsibility theme take
psychological ownership of what they
say they will do. They are committed to stable values such as
honesty and loyalty.
YOUR PERSONALIZED STRENGTHS INSIGHTS
What makes you stand out?
It’s very likely that you might choose your friends with care and
caution. Some of these individuals
may share your reputation for doing exactly what they say they
will do. Perhaps your most enduring
friendships are built on this foundation of mutual trust. Driven
by your talents, you may wish to have a
broader range of control and accountability on the job or in your
personal life. By nature, you may be
someone on whom others can depend. You might refrain from
making promises you are not sure you
can keep. Sometimes you feel obliged to honor commitments
even if you are inconvenienced. This
partially explains why you insist on doing things correctly,
accurately, or properly. Because of your
strengths, you may feel pleased with yourself and life in general
when you do certain tasks correctly
or behave in accordance with your core values. Chances are
good that you try to finish the tasks you
agreed to do. Perhaps you even overcome some unexpected
problems. Occasionally you work longer
hours when it is necessary. Maybe you do whatever you can to
avoid breaking the promises you
made to people.

Intellection
SHARED THEME DESCRIPTION
People exceptionally talented in the Intellection theme are
characterized by their intellectual activity.
They are introspective and appreciate intellectual discussions.
YOUR PERSONALIZED STRENGTHS INSIGHTS
What makes you stand out?
Instinctively, you now and then feel a bit more content with
yourself and life in general when you are
encouraged to reflect on your experiences, examine intriguing
ideas, or scrutinize new theories.
Because of your strengths, you might be quiet during
conversations, taking in what others say.
Perhaps you are particularly attentive when intelligent people
toss about their ideas, theories, or
concepts. Sometimes you acquire more information and gain
more insights than the speakers do.
When you choose to expound on a particular topic or pose
specific questions, maybe some
individuals listen carefully to every word you utter. It’s very
likely that you periodically engage in
conversations that might allow you to showcase some of your
knowledge on a wide range of topics or
in a particular area of specialization. Driven by your talents,
you designate a minimum of five hours a
week for solitary thinking. You probably have figured out how
to eliminate distractions and
interruptions. You accept the fact that you have less free time to
spend with family, friends, coworkers,
teammates, or classmates. By nature, you occasionally choose to
spend your time thinking rather
than engage in strenuous activity. Maybe you enjoy inventing,
planning, theorizing, conceptualizing, or
philosophizing.

Input
SHARED THEME DESCRIPTION
People exceptionally talented in the Input theme have a need to
collect and archive. They may
accumulate information, ideas, artifacts or even relationships.
YOUR PERSONALIZED STRENGTHS INSIGHTS
What makes you stand out?
Driven by your talents, you thirst for new ideas and knowledge.
Often you lose yourself in a book. You
pore over the ideas contained on its pages for long stretches of
time. Why? You want to absorb as
much information as you can. Instinctively, you sometimes
gather certain types of ideas, theories, or
concepts during conversations with intelligent people.
Sometimes this means more to you than being
well known or famous. You may be satisfied when your mind is
absorbing thoughts you have never
before considered. Or, you might relish broadening the thinking
of particular individuals. Chances are
good that you usually equate education — formal and informal
— with understanding more about
something today than you understood about it yesterday.
Because of your strengths, you may pay
close attention to specific categories of current events. Some
people merely recount what they heard,
saw, or read. Perhaps you dive deeper into the topic. You might
generate a few theories, concepts, or
philosophies to explain some of the reasoning behind certain
newsmakers’ decisions. Sometimes you
can gather information about events, policy statements, people,
or crises. Your fresh insights might
draw equally engaged thinkers into the conversation. By nature,
you yearn to know a lot. It makes little
sense to you to skim through a book and read only the
highlights. You delve more deeply into
intriguing subjects than most people do. You love to gather all
kinds of information. This explains why
you take time to grasp ideas that appear in print.

It allows you to work in the areas that you are good in and not in the ones you might not be as strong in. My top five
  • 3. strengths were competition, achiever, consistency, harmony, and discipline. A lot of these I figured I would have because I am an athlete and I love to compete. That is good because I practice these strengths every day which in turn will make me better at them and will allow me to use them in my career. Competition is by far one of the best strengths you can have. I am glad because it showed up as being my number one strength. In today’s society you will get no were without being competitive because in order to be successful you have to compete with everyone else in the world to come out on top. It has even come so far in today’s society that those with four year bachelor’s degrees aren’t even enough in some cases. I am a football player so I have to compete every single day, if I want to play then I have to out compete and beat everyone else. I am glad competition is my number one strength because to me it is the most important strength. My second strength is being an achiever. Being an achiever means that you have great stamina and you are always working hard to complete your goals. Achievers also like to be very productive and busy. If they have something that needs to be done then they will pick that over sitting down and doing it later. This strength is very good as well because it means I am always on top of things and getting done what I have to get done. This will be great to have in the working field because I will not fall behind and procrastinate causing customers to get angry or even losing my job. An achiever is normally your supervisors, managers, vice presidents, etc. The reason for this is because they tend to normally have more things to do and more on their plate and they can handle it all very well without falling behind. Would you like to have consistency in your top five strengths? It ends up being my number three and it is such a great strength to have. It is a different kind of consistency than you are thinking. It isn’t the consistency where you do well time and time again without messing up or always doing your work without doing it. People with this consistency are treating
  • 4. all people the same no matter the situation. They don’t care about your background or what connections you have. They are very aware people and think of everyone equal. I have seen this strength in me when I just recently helped out at the church working a camp with autistic children. We were assigned three children to stay with the whole day and we had to play various sports with them and get to know them. I had a great time with these kids and although they were autistic I had a great time and didn’t really even notice they had it. We all got along very well and I treated them just as if they are anyone else. When you hear harmony your mind automatically takes you to your folder of music. It being a strength of mine, it has nothing to do with music. This is the only one of my strengths that I absolutely didn’t expect to get. Saying that I had no idea what it was either. I thought of music as soon as I saw it and I told myself, “I have strength in music?” I have no history in music playing whatsoever so it stumped me. The strength of having harmony is when people do not like to argue so they seek for areas in agreement. This was very interesting because this describes me very strongly. If my friends and I ever disagree, I will always act like they are right even if I know they aren’t just so there is no arguing. I will try to avoid arguing as much as possible because I dislike it so much. I can see there being a downside to this strength as well.In some situations I need to keep arguing if I know I’m right. It would be standing up for what my opinion is and every body’s opinion is important. This strength tells me that I need to stop trying to avoid arguing and sometimes let it happen. If I know that I’m right then why give up. This is the only strength I didn’t like about myself as well. It does have some good sides to it but I do see there being many weaker sides to it. My final strength is discipline. Even though it is my fifth, this is one of my favorites. I would say this describes me most. Discipline is when the person loves to have a routine and structure in everything they do. They like to plan out there whole day and follow it exactly. I do this with all of my school
  • 5. work especially. I will write down all of my homework, what day it is due, what is going on the next day, etc. I hate going through my day not knowing exactly what is going on because then I feel rushed and as if I am going to miss something. I do not see there being one weakness in discipline. It is all positive and anything with discipline is good. I began to learn discipline at a very young age. In the practices and games it is all about discipline. From the start of warm-ups till the last play, it is all discipline. If there is no discipline on the field then it will look terrible and you will most likely get beaten. My dad has always told me that if I have discipline in life then I will be a very successful person. This was far before I knew my five strengths so it was really cool to see discipline come up on my list. I could relate to it very well and had a great mental picture from my past experiences and what this strength can do for a person. My five strengths are very good and important to have to be successful in life. They are even better if you work with a person that has some strength’s you don’t have and strength’s you have that they don’t. It will make your tasks you are trying to complete much easier because all of your strengths are working together making it much easier for one another. Now knowing all of my strengths very good I can now know what areas to work in which will make it easier for me because I will be strong in that area. I did see some strength’s on the list that I didn’t have that would benefit me. I am going to begin to work on some of the things I do like becoming a woo. That will help me out a lot with my connections and getting to know more people. Being a woo will benefit me greatly in the working field and I plan on gaining this strength.I can now work on strengthening every part of me making me a strong person in every strength on the list.

They find deep satisfaction in working hard with friends to achieve a goal. YOUR PERSONALIZED STRENGTHS INSIGHTS What makes you stand out? Because of your strengths, you are occasionally willing to be vulnerable. Perhaps you claim your talents or admit your weaknesses. Your openness may help some people know you better as a person. Your straightforward style may convince others you are honest, dependable, and reliable. Chances are good that you may be convinced that you are measuring up to your potential. Perhaps you know when you are doing your best work or earning the highest grades you possibly can. Instinctively, you might feel life is good when you are truthful about your talents, education, successes, experiences, or background. You attempt to dispel certain illusions you have about yourself or that others have about you. Maybe this is one of your priorities. When you do not pretend to be someone you are not, you might be happier. By nature, you might feel upbeat and cheerful
