Medical boards exams are critical moments in the career of the physician; they are crucial steps in obtaining the license
to practice medicine in the United States and abroad. MBR academy shares in a vision of excellence in American
medicine through a physician population of diverse talents, backgrounds and modes of thought. Our mission is to
facilitate this vision by empowering medical students, residents and practicing physicians to optimize performance on
medical boards exams and achieve passing scores.
Our approach is based upon The Mitchell Technique, which incorporates an assessment of the student’s pattern of test
taking with an exploitation of boards exam grammar. Whether on USMLE, COMLEX, or Specialty Boards, the technique
has been used successfully by countless students and physicians to beat the boards!
Come MASTER the boards with us. Our approach is unique. Our technique is Socratic and highly interactive. We don’t
just give more of the same lectures (you’ve already sat through too many). Instead, our focus is on the technique of
dissecting questions that is specific to medical boards, conquering test anxiety and building confidence.
We offer the following programs:
• Steps 1, 2 or 3 for USMLE/COMLEX training:
Group or individual, intensive weekend or 1 month. Usually on our Kansas City Campus but can be set
up at your institution for groups of 10 or greater.
• Specialty Boards for Practicing Physicians:
One-on-one or small group training available. Usually in Kansas City but will travel for small group of 3
to 6.
• Individual tutoring:
Subject specific geared toward boards.
