This document provides an overview of Save the Children International's vision, mission, IT support model, strategy, and challenges. Save the Children's vision is for every child to have the right to survival, protection, development and participation. Their mission is to inspire breakthroughs in how the world treats children and achieve lasting change in their lives. Their global IT support model involves country, regional, and global IT teams working together to support over 140 IT staff across various regions and countries. In 2012, they delivered several projects including transitioning email accounts to Office 365 and building a new global IT team. However, challenges remain around network capacity, IT skills capacity across regions, and getting country office directors to take IT seriously.

Short introduction of EduNet Namibia as presented to the audience of the UNESCO 'ICT Policy in Education Workshop for Stakeholders' held in Windhoek, UN House, on 25./26. June 2012
A different kind of IT leadership is required in the digital age. New leadership styles and maybe even new leadership capabilities are needed to capture the business advantages of cloud, mobile, social, analytics and the InterNet of Things. This is now a team game, that cannot be won by individual star players alone. We will discuss how to lead multiple influencing networks and how to collaborate and challenge orthodoxies across organisational boundaries. Don’t ask if you need a CDO, ask if you have the right existing CxOs and if they are working together as digital leaders.”
A joint event between Enabling e-Learning and NAPP [29 May 2013] exploring resourcing of e-learning and what it means for leadership capability.
