With Global Data Management methodology and tools, all of your data can be accessed and used no matter where it is or where it is from: on-premises, private cloud, public cloud(s), hybrid cloud, open source, third-party data and any combination of the these, with security, privacy and governance applied as if they were a single entity. Ingenious software products and the economics of computing make it economical to do this. Not free, but feasible.

Staying ahead in the cyber security game - Sogeti + IBMRick Bouter
Cyber security is center stage in the world today, thanks to almost continuous revelations about incidents and breaches. In this context of unpredictability and insecurity, organizations are redefining their approach to security, trying to find the balance between risk, innovation and cost. At the same time, the field of cyber security is undergoing many dramatic changes, demanding organizations embrace new practices and skill sets.
Cyber security risk is now squarely a business risk – dropping the ball on security can threaten an organization’s future – yet many organizations continue to manage and understand cyber security in the context of the it department. This has to change.

Energy Intelligence platforms can help organizations manage power consumption more efficiently by providing a functional view of the entire organization so that the energy consumption of business activities can be understood, changed, and reinvented to better support sustainable practices. Significant technical challenges exist in terms of information management, cross-domain data integration, leveraging real-time data, and assisting users to interpret the information to optimize energy usage. This paper presents an architectural approach to overcome these challenges using a Dataspace, Linked Data, and Complex Event Processing. The paper describes the fundamentals of the approach and demonstrates it within an Enterprise Energy Observatory.

Top Strategic Technology Trends for 2022.docxAdvance Tech
Strategic technology trends can be difficult to predict, but many technology observers think that the 2024 Olympics and the autonomous cars of the 2020s are inevitable.
Regardless, strategic technology trends can inspire companies and entrepreneurs looking to maximize their exposure and reach, increase their revenue, and drive new products and services.
Several technologies will be an important part of the 2022 strategy of any large firm, including software, cloud computing, and mobile technology.
A discussion that the following is the main focus on the impact of these technologies on the business functions of large firms and their future strategies. We finally brought together the sectors that will largely influence the future world economy in this post.
Strategic technology is the combination of strategic thinking, best practices, and financial effectiveness.

BIG DATA is having an enormous impact on the profile of workforces around the world. If you've ever seen the technology and experienced the impact it has on the pace of innovation in a business then the predictations made by McKinsey Global Institute will come as no surprise ( and just in case you've been on holiday for around two years, McKinsey is suggesting that by 2018 the US will face a shortfall of close to 200,000 analysts and 1.5 million managers with the right skills. In this presentation I outline the impact of BIG DATA on workforce design. I hope you find it informative and fun to read. Ian.
Emerging opportunities in the age of dataEjaz Siddiqui
We live in a data-driven world. There are more than 4 billion people around the world using the internet.
This show an unprecedented spread and growth of digital devices. These digital devices (Mobiles, Computers, Watches, IoT etc) are the factories for creating data. It means we live in the Age of Data, and it’s expanding at astonishing rates. We may need to unplug and take a break from time to time, but data never sleeps.
This generation of huge data presents many new challenges as well as opportunities. There would be huge opportunity for the people who could collect, process, manage, drive insights and make useful decisions from this data. Certain fields are becoming very important and necessary to manage and process this data.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

24. Beyond the Episode
• Using large volumes of behavioral data to better understand the
workings of groups and networks is the domain of an emerging,
interdisciplinary field known as computational social science (CSS).
• Computational social scientist Nicholas Christakis summarizes the
perspective that motivates much CSS research: “If you had asked social
scientists even 20 years ago what powers they dreamed of having,
they would have said, ‘It would be unbelievable if we could have this
little tiny Black Hawk helicopter that could be microscopic, fly on top
of you, and monitor where you are and who you’re talking to, what
you’re buying, what you’re thinking, and if it could do this in real time,
all the time, for millions of people, all at the same time. If we could
collect all these data, that would be amazing.’”

25. “What if something happens?” vs. “What if
something is going to happen?”
• Smart sensor networks can provide remote caregivers real-time insight into
the health and well-being of seniors aging in place.
• Sensor-enabled homes can use machine learning to recognize behavior
patterns such as eating, sleeping, and movement, and identify and report
any signs of illness or cognitive degeneration to caretakers and physicians.
• By some estimates, states can save an average of $9 million per day in
health care costs by making it possible for just 10 percent of the elderly
population to remain in their homes for an additional one to two years.6

28. A National Call for Measurement-Based Care in
the Delivery of Behavioral Health Services
All primary care and behavioral health providers treating mental health
and substance use disorders should implement a system of
measurement-based care whereby validated symptom rating
scales are completed by patients and reviewed by clinicians during
encounters. Measurement-based care will help providers determine
whether the treatment is working and facilitate treatment adjustments,
consultations, or referrals for higher intensity services

Explanation
Principles of design should attend to the fundamental intellectual tasks
in the analysis of evidence; thus we have the Second Principle for the
analysis and presentation of data:
