This is a short presentation which introduces our innovative solution from the area of Internet of Things, dedicated mainly to the building industry. Connected Helmet's aim is to care about construction site workers, to ensure them safety and immediate help in case of an accident.

2. How it started
Sad statistics concerning accidents in the building sites inspired SKANSKA
to find the solution which will increase safety of construction workers.
The most common accidents at the construction sites:

into the excavation

3. Creative idea
This smart solution – Connected Helmet
– was born during Service Design workshops.
Experts from various areas – business,
technology, health and safety, innovation
and construction – exchanged their experience
and came together with a remedy to the problem.

4. Our innovative
solution
The solution detects and gives warnings about all
kind of hazards that may affect workers – vibrations,
impact, falls or sudden changes of temperature.
It checks the current situation at the construction
site, detect sudden change in the position of a worker
and control if the worker is at an allowed height.
Being connected with a dedicated mobile app,
the helmet informs construction management if
the worker has updated certifications and trainings.
