This document summarizes research from the Laboratory of Research in Art and TechnoScience (LART) at the University of Brasilia. LART explores the intersections of art, science, and technology through projects like Living Tattoos and Biocybrid Wearable Art Systems. These projects use techniques like augmented reality, biosensors, and wireless networks to expand concepts of the body and perceptions of urban life. Researchers are developing new interfaces and examining how technology is changing concepts of the self, environment, and society.

The reengineering of life expanded by perceptual experiences in the sense of presence in Virtual Reality and
Augmented Reality is the theme of our investigation in collaborative practices confirming the artists´
creativity close to the inventivity of scientists and mutual capacity for the generation of biocybrid systems.
We consider the enactive bodily interfaces for human existence being co-located in the continuum and
symbiotic zone between body and flesh -cyberspace and data -and the hybrid properties of physical world.
That continuum generates a biocybrid zone (Bio+cyber+hybrid) and the life is reinvented. Results reaffirm
the creative reality of coupled body and mutual influences with environment information, enhancing James
Gibson’s ecological perception theory. The ecosystem life in its dynamical relations between human,
animal, plants, landscapes, urban life and objects, bring questions and challenges for artworks and the
reengineering of life discussed in our artworks in technoscience. Finally, we describe an implementation in
which the immersion experience is enhanced by the datavisualization of biological audio signals and by
using wearable miniaturized devices for biofeedback.

Cyborg Anthropology is a way of understanding how we live as technosocially connected citizens in the modern era. Our cell phones, cars and laptops have turned us into cyborgs. What does it mean to extend the body into hyperspace? What are the implications to privacy, information and the formation of identity? Now that we have a second self, how do we protect it? This presentation will cover aspects of time and space compression, communication in the mobile era, evaporating interfaces and how to approach a rapidly changing information spaces.

This is a presentation of initial pairings we put together for the ICT & Art Connect project stand at the EU ICT 2013 showcase event on the new Digital Agenda. In some cases, these art-tech pairs had just met and had to only talk about their own background rather than new any new ideas for a project they had, but once paired some very good connections developed.

It takes vision, leadership and willingness to take risks in the right proportion. Sachin Dev Duggal, co-founder of Builder.ai, has perfected the art of this balance, creating a company culture where creativity and growth are nurtured at each stage.

LF Energy Webinar: Electrical Grid Modelling and Simulation Through PowSyBl -...DanBrown980551
Do you want to learn how to model and simulate an electrical network from scratch in under an hour?
Then welcome to this PowSyBl workshop, hosted by Rte, the French Transmission System Operator (TSO)!
During the webinar, you will discover the PowSyBl ecosystem as well as handle and study an electrical network through an interactive Python notebook.
PowSyBl is an open source project hosted by LF Energy, which offers a comprehensive set of features for electrical grid modelling and simulation. Among other advanced features, PowSyBl provides:
- A fully editable and extendable library for grid component modelling;
- Visualization tools to display your network;
- Grid simulation tools, such as power flows, security analyses (with or without remedial actions) and sensitivity analyses;
The framework is mostly written in Java, with a Python binding so that Python developers can access PowSyBl functionalities as well.
What you will learn during the webinar:
- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;
- For advanced developers: master the skills to efficiently apply PowSyBl functionalities to your real-world scenarios.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

“new Leonardos”
3. For forty years the Leonardo organizations have
had the privilege of witnessing, and helping to
document, a birth of new forms of innovative
and creative practice.
Especially during the last ten years a new
generation of artists scientifically and technically
literate, “new Leonardos” , have been
creating contemporary art forms, and in the
process making new technical
inventions and in some cases, scientific
discoveries.
Roger Malina
4. How to synthesize Leonardo?
Efficient collaborative practices dissolves the old
rupture and the well-known historical divergences
between artists and scientists.
The main point of convergence is when all disciplines
investigate the same problems, all sciences become
one unique science.

Artworks in wearable art and biocybrid systems in LART use technological innovation
regarding the miniaturization of hardware systems that have enabled the development
of network sensor nodes, which allow new applications for interconnected wireless
networks.
According to Carvalho (2005), those sensors have the ability to detect or measure
some phenomenon of nature, processing and transmitting data or information to
other sensors. In our artworks the circuit of sensors a node of sensors are built in an

which coupled to bodies configure a Biocybrid Wearable Art System (BWAS), that
allows people to monitor, process and send to other biosensors vital signals
