7. I wrote that in 1982, as the beginning of a book with the working
title, Conscience of an Economic Hit Man . The book was dedicated to
the presidents of two countries, men who had been my clients ,
whom I respected and thought of as kindred spirits -- Jaime Roldos ,
president of Ecuador, and Omar Torrijos, president of Panama . Both
had just died in fiery crashes. Their deaths were not accidental . They were
assassinated because they opposed that fraternity of corporate ,

8. I tried to write this book four times but was threatened or bribed
each time to halt. The events of 9/11 - a direct result of the activities
of EHMs in the 1970s - finally forced him to confront the role
and to reveal the truth to the rest of the world.
What finally convinced me to ignore the threats and bribes?
The short answer is that my only child, Jessica, When I recently
told her that I was considering publishing this book and shared my
fears with her, she said, "Don't worry, dad. If they get you, I'll take
over where you left off.

9. Perkins describes the role of an economic hit man as follows:
Economic hit men (EHMs) are highly paid professionals who
cheat countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars.
They funnel money from world bank, The U.S Agency for
International Development (USAID), and other foreign “aid”
organizations into the coffers of huge corporation , and the
packet of a few wealthy families, who control the planet’s of
natural resources. Their tools include fraudulent financial
reports, rigged election, payoffs, extortion, sex, and murder.

in 1971 my teacher Claudin said to me to encourage world leaders
to become part of a vast network that promotes U.S. commercial interests.
In the end, those leaders become ensnared in a web of debt that ensures their
loyalty. We can draw on them whenever we desire to satisfy our political,
economic, or military needs. In turn, they bolster their political positions by
bringing industrial parks, power plants, and airports to their people .
The owners of U.S. engineering/construction companies become fabulously
wealthy.
12. Leaders who refused to cooperate with such plans would
be picked off by CIA-supported “jackals”. Thus the overthrow of Mohammad
Mosaddegh in Iran (1953); the Jacobo Árbenz coup in Guatemala (1954);
the Salvador Allende coup and murder in Chile (1973); the mysterious airplane
explosions that killed Jaime Roldós in Ecuador and Omar Torrijos in Panama (1981)
; the overthrow and murder of Maurice Bishop in Grenada (1983); the bloody
invasion and capture of Manuel Noriega in Panama (1989). Somehow Fidel Castro
in Cuba successfully dodged dozens of assassination attempts.
