This document outlines the three types of conditional sentences in English: first conditional uses present simple and will for events that may happen in the future, second conditional uses past simple and would for unlikely or imaginary events, and third conditional uses past perfect and would have + past participle for events that did not happen in the past.

2. FIRST CONDITIONAL
• IF + PRESENT SIMPLE → WILL+INFINITIVE

3. SECOND CONDITIONAL
• IF + PAST SIMPLE → WOULD + INFINITIVE
• Ex. If I were in your shoes, I would go to the dentist.

4. THIRD CONDITIONAL
• IF + PAST PERFECT → WOULD + HAVE + PAST
