History Of Science And The Natural Sciences
In the last several years I have developed two main areas of focus: I am interested in the history of
scientific diagrams (including maps) as a combination of the history of visualization and theories of
representation, as well as in the more physical spaces of science, including natural history museums,
hospitals, and laboratories. Since the last years of my undergraduate degree at Rice, I have been
interested in the intersections of scienceand architecture. I completed my BA in two major fields
architecture and civil engineering and thus have a firm background in both the humanities and the

A couple of points up for consideration are the classmates work lessening the chances of one

The Discovery Of A Fossil Specimen
After so many years of searching and excavating, my partners and I have discovered our first
hominin fossil. After all the digging, cleaning, and cataloging of hominin discoveries is complete,
we begin to start analyzing mysterious specimen #6. It looked a lot like a modern human but the
skull features is slightly different and the molars is quite large. From what we have noticed at first
sight, the incisors, canines and the premolars of the specimen are missing. Without analyzing and
measuring the teeths, it would make our job a bit difficult, but there is always alternative route to
analyze this mysterious specimen.
My partners and I shared each other hypotheses about mysterious specimen #6 that were trying to
figure it out. We observed every little feature that the specimen have and we re not were not sure
what hominin it is, we first guessed that this specimen is just another known fossil species in the
human lineage or it could be a new fossil species in the human lineage. Our main hypothesis that
were trying to find the answer is mysterious specimen #6 is a previous human species before
modern humans today, and How long does mysterious specimen #6 live? There are so many
questions about mysterious specimen #6 and were we going to get to the bottom of this by
analyzing the skull features, measuring the specimen with special tools and compare and contrast
to all hominin from the past to see anything similar and related to mysterious specimen #6.

In Derek Walcott s From in a Green Night: A Far Cry from Africa, the author explains and dives
into the topic of colonialism and self reflection through his own experiences of being trapped
between his Kenyan and British descent. Similar to Fanon s concept of complicity, Walcott also
understands both sides of the story in an unbiased manner. In his poem, he uses imagery to describe
the violent past in which Kenyans and British people have committed to each other, the savage
nature of humans during colonization, and his own internal speech where he himself is confused of
his cultural and social identity. This paper will explore the core concepts of Walcott s writing and
further explain it through Fanon s lens to amplify the meaning of the poem.
To begin, Walcott uses imagery to describe the prominent violence in the history between colonized

they are onlookers or fellow protesters. The barricade in and of itself is symbolic. Barricades
hold people back. Societal values hold people back. The woman, though, is on the opposite side of
the barricade. She holds the sign which boldly testifies to her sexuality and her beauty, no longer

Stereotypes are a form of prejudice everyone will once experience in their lifetime. Stereotypes
are centered around an individual s race, gender, social class, religion, and age. They have been
known to be elements people use to make judgments and subjectify people to one key feature. As
Gordon Allport states, To state the matter technically, a noun abstracts from a concrete reality
some one features and assembles different concrete realities only with respect to this one feature
(364). Mr.Allport s words can be summed up to say stereotypes have been used as key
fundamentals to associate one feature or aspect of a person with a group that represents it,
typically in an unfavorable way. Over the years, the media has poorly portrayed people from Latin
Americacountries as low income individuals who, based on their looks, are typically out of
society s views of fitting in. With this role assigned to them, they are presumably believed to have

representations makes it seems the only perception people will receive from Latin America is that
it s justifiable to treat us different because of our unique looks.

Like most couples Corvino assumes that they must engage in sexual activity for the same reason
that any heterosexual couple would that it is pleasurable. Sex can help unite a couple and open an
