Abstract
In contemporary times why is mobile learning becoming more important? This paper
will explore comparative study of traditional learning and mobile learning of English
language. In present time Mobile technology became an attraction for all and especially
among youth. This technology made its own way of teaching instead of traditional
learning methods which were tedious and had a monotonous nature for the rising
generation.In the present time we found so many apps in the Play Store which have
become helpful to learners and teachers too. If we do a comparison of mobile learning
with traditional learning then also mobile learning becomes more effective to teach the
English language.These days mobile phones are used everywhere which leads to the
obvious question : What are the advantages and disadvantages of it? Which tools are
useful in language learning through mobile phones? How is it helpful to learn a second
language? So this paper definitely helps the learners and teachers to evaluate language
skill with this small instrument called mobile phone.

● Mobile has become a kind of Trend and
fashion for the people and specially among
youngsters. When we see today’s generation
we have questions like why People are
attracted towards mobile phones so much ?
How can we use it in a positive and
innovative way? so in this paper I would like
to discuss the idea of traditional learning
instead of digital learning and we can say
mobile learning of English language.

It is a very useful tool that a teacher
can use inside the classroom.
Teachers can record or download
audio clipped from the internet or
movies and play it inside the
classroom. Students can be made to
listen to it carefully and questions can
be asked to check their
comprehension skill.

Mobile technique for language learning is effective and easy as the
mobile device is quite a popular gadget, language learning through

process of learning. The influence of technology on current
academics is such that in near future the whole context of learning
will come under single umbrella of m-learning.
