- 3. I INTRODUCTION My heart Gallerywas established in 2009 with the twin aim of Eco-conservation and restitution of lost values through the medium of art. The mediums used are watercolor, oil, acrylic, charcoal, and mixed medium. The styles we work on are Realistic, Surrealistic, Photographs, Abstract, Semiabstract, Figurative, and Narrative. We have original artwork and also undertake commissioned work. We categorize our expertise broadly into four areas 1. Decorative Artworks 2. Commissioned Works 3. Emerging Artists 4. The company wanted to make a statement about the environment friendly measures taken. - 8. 6 SERVICES 6.1 Art Consultancy We offerconsultancy to clients where we discuss what areas of the building needs artwork to make it more aesthetically appealing for the family and visitors. With the combined experience and knowledge of 65 years, we select artworks that create the overall mood the client desires to achieve. We assist in the placement and also in framing. 6.2 Art Evaluation We evaluate art as part of appraisal involving pieces of artwork. An appraisal is an official document stating how much a piece of artwork is worth. We start evaluation by assessing what condition the artwork is in. We then use the art sales index or reference price guides to approximate the value of the piece. The value is then used in auctions, sales, donations, and other activities that necessitate the monetary value of the artwork. 6.3 Art Restoration We restore art by means of careful approach, which comprises the processes of stabilization, preservation and often restoration, using reversible materials, which will not be hazardous to the object. Conservation can broadly be of two types: Preventive conservation in which regular maintenance and care are taken to prevent the onset of damage or future problems to the object. Proper environment, storage, display, etc. are all essential to forestall deterioration. Interventive conservation in which any treatment to an object in the form of cleaning, mending tears, in painting, removing old and improper restorations, etc. is carried out. 8
