De Baar Trucks was founded in 1969 by Mr. J.M. de Baar as a DAF truck dealership in the Netherlands. Within 5 years, it expanded to 3 more dealerships and diversified its offerings to include truck body manufacturing and a leasing firm. By 1996, it had grown to 9 dealerships selling 5 truck brands, 150 employees, and selling 750 trucks annually. In 1999, the export division was spun off into a new company, De Baar Trading, which sold used trucks internationally, averaging 300 sales per year. Currently led by P.P.T. de Baar, De Baar Trucks operates globally, providing transportation equipment sales and services as well as expertise in vehicle repair
