47. Started as a start up called Saakshar in 2008.
Started as an education support system which could improve the existing
framework of school education in rural areas.
Their setup aims to enhance the quality of rural education by using technology to
take video lectures , resource material , interactive modules , counselling progress
effective valuation to the classrooms.
The company aims to bring together experienced teachers , rural consultants ,
child psychologists and software professionals to create a package of exceptional
support service for rural secondary schools.
Phyzok- Company History & Description
48. Saakshar could not produce expected revenues , nor could they bring in money
on time due to delay in payments by schools in rural areas.
One of Saakshar’s exit strategies was to start functioning in urban areas in form
of interactive classes and workshops.
Phyzok , the urban and more advanced version , conducts workshops for class 7th
to 10th students in a span of 8 hours
Practical demonstrations are planned out in Phyzok’s own labs. They have a
small team comprising of 20 odd people.
Phyzok is incubated under Business Incubator , BITS .
