SECP is reforming the corporate sector of Pakistan. Companies Bill 2016 will replace Companies Ordinance 1984.

It will replace Companies Ordinance 1984. It aims at
providing facilitation to the corporate sector and other
stakeholders besides strengthening the existing
regulatory framework.
The draft law suggests major steps in the adoption of
technology which will be helpful in moving towards
paperless environment.
In order to attract foreign investments specific
provisions to safeguard the rights and interests of
strategic investors have also been introduced.
Companies Bill 2016 will be the biggest achievement
of SECP as it has solicited comments from all including
general public.
