Prayer of Confession
God forgives and heals us.
We need your healing merciful God.
Give us true repentance.
Some sins are plain to us.
Some escape us.
Some we cannot face.
Forgive us.
Set us free to hear your word to us.
Set us free to serve you.
(adapted from ‘A New Zealand Prayer Book’)
Declaration of Forgiveness
There is therefore now no condemnation
to those who are in Christ Jesus
who do not walk according to the flesh,
but according to the Spirit.
(Romans 8:1)
God forgives you,
forgive others,
forgive yourself.
(adapted from ‘A New Zealand Prayer Book’)
The ‘Sursum Corda’
Lift up your hearts!
We lift them up to the Lord!
Let us give thanks unto the Lord our God
It is right and just!
It is very right, just and our solemn duty,
that we should at all times and in all places,
give thanks to You, O Lord,
Father, Son & Spirit,
Almighty, Everlasting God.
Therefore with all the company of heaven,
we laud and magnify Your glorious Name;
always praising You as we say:
Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God of hosts,
heaven and earth are full of Your glory!
Hosanna in the Highest!
Blessed is He who comes
in the Name of the Lord!
Prayer of Thanksgiving
Kororia ki a koe, e te Ariki, e te Karaiti:
ko tou matenga ka whakaatu matou:
(Glory to you, Lord Christ;
your death we show forth)
ko tou aranga ka panui matou:
ko tou haerenga mai ka taria e matou:
Amine: haere mai e Ihu te Ariki.
(Your resurrection we proclaim;
your coming we await;
Amen! Come Lord Jesus)
Therefore loving God
we celebrate our redemption
with this bread of life
and this cup of salvation.
Accept our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving
which we offer through Christ
our great High Priest.
(adapted from ‘A New Zealand Prayer Book’)
Prayer of Consecration
Words of Institution
Words of Invitation
So come to this table
you who have much faith
and you who would like to have more
You whose youth ministry is celebrated
and you who minister in obscurity
You who have tried to follow Jesus
and you who have failed.
Come, it is Christ who invites you.
(adapted from Iona Abbey Worship Book)
Distribution of Elements
Come to the Table by rows…
-Eat the Bread in silence, but…
-Hold the Cup to drink together!
The Dismissal
Go now, to love and serve the Lord.
Bringing the Gospel, Te Rongopai,
to the youth of Aotearoa!
Go in peace.
Amine.
Ka haere matou i runga i te ingoa o te
Karaiti.
(Amen. We go in the name of Christ.)
