The Problem
Current technologies used for outdoor navigation
are ineffective when used in an indoor setting.
• GPS – It’s accurate, but maintaining a signal
indoors, especially in a large structure is difficult
• WiFi – Imprecise, radius too large
• Bluetooth – cost prohibitive as it requires
multiple sensors and periodic maintenance

CometNAV is a mobile
application that provides
indoor navigational
assistance and aids in
locating people and
points of interest.

• Uses suggestive search to find:
• A person’s office using their name
• A room
• An event
• A course location
• Building facilities (restrooms, elevators, stairs and
vending)
• Provides location information
• Displays optimal route to a destination
