3. My Role as an
IT Project Coordinator at
Colt Technologies
• To ensure clients’ needs are met as projects
evolve.
• Analyze risks and opportunities and act as
the point of contact and communication.
• Monitors progress and resolves any issues
that arise during the project.
• Issue appropriate paperwork and create
and maintain comprehensive project
documentation, plans, and reports.

4. ABOUT THE
PROJECT
IT application development
workstream of a 1 million euro project
is critical to complete integration of a
company that Colt recently acquired.

5. PROBLEM
STATEMENT
The IT development phase of the project had
been due to complete on schedule in 8 weeks’
time, to then be followed by a period of testing
and a production go-live. Unfortunately, a
design issue that will take 10 weeks to resolve
has now been identified.
A major cost and reputational impact will be
seen if the work is not completed on time.

Scope Creep
•Clearly define project requirements and goals.
•Create a schedule that includes every step of the
process.
•Involve clients or stakeholders in project planning.

Scheduling Conflicts
•Coordinating your project schedule and needs
with other project managers
•Checking team members' vacation and time-off
schedules to avoid unexpected absences
•Using an online calendar planner to organize
multiple projects and their resources

• Involve stakeholders in the project planning process.
•Communicate with stakeholders frequently, and give them
regular project updates.
•Directly ask clients for their feedback on every project
phase.
Avoid Budgeting Issues

assurance specialists, who are familiar with cost and time
estimates for your type of project.
