DIN Standard DIN 47100 regulated color-coding for identifying cores in telecommunication cables using solid or striped colors, though it was withdrawn in 1998, the standard remains in widespread use. The CIE color model is a 3D color space created by the International Commission on Illumination to accurately map and reproduce any color visible to the human eye using tristimulus values that combine red, green, and blue.
