This article examines the use of game design thinking in higher education to foster co-creativity among students, as part of the Gamechangers initiative. By emphasizing a playful and collaborative learning approach, students engage in problem-solving and design processes, gaining insights into creativity, teamwork, and community challenges. Feedback from an experimental module involving 122 undergraduate students indicates that such an approach enhances the learning experience, highlighting the importance of empathy, purpose, and meaningful engagement.
