A German family fell in love with the Pacific Northwest after visiting in the 1950s and decided to start a family in Tacoma. Their longstanding connection to the city led to the biggest donation in the Tacoma Art Museum's history - a new 16,000 square foot wing to house one of the largest American West art collections in the nation. The wing opened with an exhibit of 130 works from the donated Haub family collection and will permanently display 295 works from the collection.
