Lemvig, Denmark is located in an area highly challenged by climate change. The Climatorium project aims to address these challenges through research, education, and innovative companies. It uses the Quadruple Helix model of collaboration between academia, government, industry, and civil society. The Climatorium will host research projects and a mini-campus for students. It also plans to have an exhibition space and attract business and climate tourists to learn about solutions. The goal is that by 2022 there will be 10 companies located there producing new products, and 50 jobs will be created. The Climatorium and Aquaglobe projects will serve as showcases for 22 total projects in the Coast to Coast Climate

Climatorium will contribute to a highly international
research environment which finds solutions to chal-
lenges, identified by LVS amongst others. The start-
ing point for a research project is a challenge and
companies transform research projects into prod-
ucts which can create solutions, jobs and dissemi-
nate knowledge.
A mini-campus is being set up for Via University for
researchers and engineers. The campus will be piv-
otal for research projects within climate, water, en-
ergy, the environment and the circular economy.
High schools and business schools will be involved
in Climatorium and there will be synergy between
the research and learning environment to the
schools' benefit.
The Lemvig water and waste water utility company
LVS delivers challenges which have major signifi-
cance for LVS’s assets of DKK 1.2 billion.
Research project on optimization of filter-cleaning
in water treatment plants by means of geophysical
methods.
Research project on strategic pipeline monitoring by
satellite.
Two remote courses have been set up in Supply En-
gineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Water and Climate is a market with a potential val-
ue of DKK 3,000 billion. Innovative companies will
together, and along with other companies, form part
of a cluster in climate, water, energy and the circular
economy. The cluster provides the opportunity for
companies to work together on research and educa-
tion.
Companies undertake to be part of the Climatorium
exhibition and the goal is that by 2022 there will be
10 companies and 50 jobs within Climatorium, as
well as the development of at least six new products
or solutions to challenges.
Results from the research projects are converted
into commercial products by local companies.
Cooperation with New Zealand regarding the export
of climate and water expertise. Denmark and New
Zealand face the same challenges and Denmark has
good solution models which will be exported to NZ.

Centrally located in the building, the climate
can be experienced up close in an exhibition
where all companies commit to participating in
the process of informing and attracting tour-
ists.
Climatorium will together with AquaGlobe be a
showroom for the 22 orther projects in C2CCC.
West Jutland Geopark (a UNESCO applicant) is one
of the main players in the dissemination of informa-
tion. West Jutland Geopark has applied to become a
UNESCO Global Park.
The exhibition of research, companies and climate
challenges will be an agent for exports and will at-
tract business and climate tourists.
Civil society will become involved in Climatorium
through using the facilities and the dissemination of
climate solutions.
Local schools will use the learning facilities in Clima-
torium to involve research, solutions and businesses
in their teaching.
