These include oceanic zones with mild year-round temperatures and rainfall, especially in winter; subtropical zones along the coast with high temperatures and little rain; mountain zones with cold winters, hot summers, and snowfall; continental Mediterranean zones with cold winters and hot summers and winter snowfall; and Mediterranean zones with mild winters, hot summers, and limited but heavy rainfall.
