3. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to be
able to:
Identify the main factor in the increase of global
temperature
Interpret the relationship of carbon dioxide and
temperature
Appreciate the importance of caring the environment
4. CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate change - is a change in how much rain in a
place usually gets in a year. Or it could be a change in a
place’s usual change in Earths climate.
What are the main factor in the increase of global
temperature? Any idea?
5. Global warming - Occurs when carbon dioxide (CO2)
and other air pollutants collect in the atmosphere and
absorb sunlight and solar radiation that have bounced of
the earth’s surface
Class what do you think the realationship of carbon
dioxide and temperature?
review:
Who among you can share his or her idea about your topic last meeting?
What are the factors affect the climate?
So how do these factors affect the climate?
answer: Okay, Places close to the equator have the warmest temperatures, whereas higher altitudes have lower temperatures. Regional climates are also influenced by mountain winds and rain shadows. Warm and cool waters are transported by ocean currents, which control global temperatures.
Before we start to our new lesson for today I prepared here a short game called 4 pics 1 word. Here is what you are going to do you need to guess the word using the pictures
Okay, class start guessing
1. What is in the picture?
2. How bout the second picture
Okay, class do you have any idea of what our topic today?
That’s right! Our topic for today is all about climate change. But before that, kindly read our objectives
Will you please read miguel
Class, is climate change is real?
How do you say that climate change is real? because Climate is the regular alteration of Earth's temperature brought about by variations in the atmosphere and interactions between different
Is climate change man-made or is it just a natural occurrence? Rather than being purely a result of nature, human action is the main cause of climate change. Deforestation and the use of fossil fuels have greatly increased greenhouse gas emissions, which has resulted in global warming and its effects.
These are few questions that can be asked once we talk about climate change. Currently, one of the most important global challenges is climate change. Some experts say that the globe does indeed experience periods of warming and cooling
Let’s us begin our explanation on what is climate change.
2. The earth's temperature and climate are being affected by the burning of fossil fuels, the clearing of forests, and the rearing of animals.
2. without co2, the earth might be too cold to support human life. he earth’s natural greenhouse effect would not be strong enough to maintain an average global surface temperature above freezing without carbon dioxide.
What can you say about this picture? A place with dry and cracked ground and green field
So what type of climate change is in the picture? wet and dry season
! There are only 2 seasons in the philippines and that’s are the wet and dry seasons The equator is not far from the Philippines. Because of the earth's tilt, regions close to or at the equator receive abundant amounts of sunshine
- Okay, between the two where do you want to live? And why?
the reason it appears so lovely is the greenery or the trees that thrive there. But if I had to choose, I’d say both seasons have their own charm. The wet seasons brings lush and geenery and the soothing sound of rain, while the dry seasons offers sunny days and a chance to enjoy outdoor activities.
The long-term change in regional or worldwide weather patterns that affects plants, animals, and people is referred to as climate change. It includes changes brought about by humans as well as those that have occurred naturally during Earth's history
Okay, class group your selves into 3 groups. I will show you a pictures and tell me what the pictures is all about. And report by group in front of you classmates
