My career followed the typical path of someone in technology. Tester, Test Lead, Test Manager, Senior Test Manager. It started in 1999, back when we lived in a world of scripted tests and large, separate, test teams who designed and ran the tests. A world of silo’s and walls, a world where communication-by-bug- report was common.
Agile came, and fortunately disrupted things. Teams became cross-functional, and yet management did not change. Management became harder; there were more stakeholders to manage, and more areas to cover. Task switching came as standard.
Eventually the penny dropped with senior management and the management team was re-organised. A change had to come and that meant no more Test Managers….

ABSTRACT: In the Malaysian context, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) experience a significant
burden of workplace accidents. A consensus among scholars attributes a substantial portion of these incidents to
human factors, particularly unsafe behaviors. This study, conducted in Malaysia's northern region, specifically
targeted Safety and Health/Human Resource professionals within the manufacturing sector of SMEs. We
gathered a robust dataset comprising 107 responses through a meticulously designed self-administered
questionnaire. Employing advanced partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques
with SmartPLS 3.2.9, we rigorously analyzed the data to scrutinize the intricate relationship between safety
behavior and safety performance. The research findings unequivocally underscore the palpable and
consequential impact of safety behavior variables, namely safety compliance and safety participation, on
improving safety performance indicators such as accidents, injuries, and property damages. These results
strongly validate research hypotheses. Consequently, this study highlights the pivotal significance of cultivating
safety behavior among employees, particularly in resource-constrained SME settings, as an essential step toward
enhancing workplace safety performance.

ABSTRACT: Although a significant amount of literature exists on Morocco's migration policies and their
successes and failures since their implementation in 2014, there is limited research on the integration of subSaharan African children into schools. This paperis part of a Ph.D. research project that aims to fill this gap. It
reports the main findings of a study conducted with migrant children enrolled in two public schools in Rabat,
Morocco, exploring how integration is defined by the children themselves and identifying the obstacles that they
have encountered thus far. The following paper uses an inductive approach and primarily focuses on the
relationships of children with their teachers and peers as a key aspect of integration for students with a migration
background. The study has led to several crucial findings. It emphasizes the significance of speaking Colloquial
Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and being part of a community for effective integration. Moreover, it reveals that the
use of Modern Standard Arabic as the language of instruction in schools is a source of frustration for students,
indicating the need for language policy reform. The study underlines the importanceof considering the
children‟s agency when being integrated into mainstream public schools.

opportunity for a Client Engagement Manager to join their team. This is a home based role with a fair amount
of travelling; you will occasionally be requested to attend their office in Brockhampton (between Hereford and
Ross on Wye).
Our client is seeking a professional individual who will take responsibility for increasing the company’s
professional engagement, developing new business opportunities and ensuring the company’s message is
conveyed in the right way to their clients.
We are therefore, not looking for a full on ‘sales’ person, rather someone who will work closely with the owner
of the business to assist with the shaping of the delivery proposition, ensuring the service provided is excellent.
You will:
Be responsible for shaping the way the services and messages are conveyed to Adviser firms and listen to
their needs
Handle incoming enquiries into the company and find new opportunities, so you will need to be confident
and organised
Work closely with all parts of the business; including client relationship, delivery of the service material and
the support team, so a collegiate attitude is essential.
You will have:
Good understanding and knowledge of the Financial Services industry
Excellent listening skills and strong consultative ability
Ideally, previous experience of rolling out a service delivery proposition
The ability to build good rapport with clients and develop long lasting relationships
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A valid driving licence and car.
