Duties:
 Observing and recording fridge /freezer temperatures on each shift
 Record and monitor food temperatures
 Operating the commercial dishwasher
 Hand washing dishes
 Meal preparation and distribution
 Sterilization of kitchen and work benches
 Preparation of specialized meals for residents with various dietary needs

 Prepare my trolley ie: Disaposable gloves to wear, (Place Toilet Paper, Use Cleaning
solutions ie. Ajax for the wall tiles and sink basin, Multi Purpose for the toilet or the
basins vanity, Window Cleaner for the mirror) and lots of rags to use.
 Collection of household waste in residents room and bathroom, Visitors Bin, Staff
bin,Reception bin and Managers office.
 Bleach and water for mopping the residents bathroom floor, visitor toilet and staff
toilet.
 Vaccum Cleaner for vaccumming the residents room, Hallways and the retreats.
 Feather duster for collecting cobwebs in residents rooms, hallways and the retreats.
 If any card board boxes take out to the wheely bin.
 Take out wheely bin for collection on their day.
 The Retreat is a place where the residents can make their own hot drink and sit in a
quite place to read or with their families for a get together.
 Clean the retreat as aswell by vaccumming, multi purpose on basin and cupboards,
feather duster for cobwebs if any and go through the drawers where coffee cups are
and if dirty take to kitchen for bleaching.

Job Responsibilities:
 Take out the collection bins to the front or back of the store so people can place
their items into the collection bins for sorting
 Volunteer staff sort out the items that are damaged or good ie: rips, mould, smelly,
broken, fading or stains on the items to be bagged in the rag bags, and then it is
placed into the rag cage
 The good stock gets counted on how many clothes for woman’s, men’s, kids or for
Manchester then Gay the Manager sorts out in the correct manner for pricing then
we take the stock to the floor to be placed into their colours on the clothing racks.
 Go thru the store to see if anything needs attending to like placing clothes into their
appropriate colours, picking up clothes that fall off their hangers. Change the colour
pricing stickers according to the week and change the mannequins to the week
colour.
