Current Role - Requirements
My current role requires attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise.
I have an extensive knowledge of the products, performance, and tailor making reports to suit the
Client’s needs.

Current Role - Description
The AUB Validation Department was established during late 1990, following the invasion of Kuwait, its
purpose to provide an independent reconciliation and valuation service for Kuwaiti institutional clients'
managed portfolios. I am solely responsible for the activities, with assets exceeding US$2 Billion,
spread across a number of Fund Managers. The Investments range from cash products and
Derivatives to Fixed Income and Equities.
All transactions are advised by the Portfolio Managers and these are then compared to the Global
Custodian. Each confirmed transaction is then input onto the Biton Portfolio Management System,
which is the validation department’s in house reporting system. I work closely with BITON in
developing this bespoke system.
Validation is to collate all trading across the accounts, perform a 3 way reconciliation between the
Fund Manager, Custodian and our own records. This is performed to minute detail, providing a final
reconciliation report, highlighting any differences, the reason and the resolution, which is sent to the
Fund Manager for sign off, then the Client.
The client is sent a set of comprehensive consolidated reports, detailing the Fund’s global distribution
and income. A performance analysis report is also sent, containing performance comparisons
between each of the Fund Managers.
I also assist the Relationship Managers in their communications with Institutional and Sovereign
clients.
I have direct experience from HSBC of transitioning investment portfolios from an overview,
reconciliation and ultimate client reporting perspective. Also to ensure fair pricing and retention of
value.
