This document discusses the design of a vacant plot called 57 Quayside in Newcastle. It notes the design constraints of the long, narrow site and surrounding listed buildings. 3D laser scanning was used to accurately model neighboring structures in Revit. Early conceptual designs show a 4-story building with atriums to maximize natural light, with public areas on the ground floor and private offices on upper floors. Structural models show a steel frame with bracing and service cores. Revit was used for design development and renders showing interior views and the building facade within the city context.
