A Phase II survey of historic resources in San Angelo, Texas identified 282 total resources, including 160 domestic buildings, 71 commercial buildings, 6 industrial facilities, 7 warehouses, 4 social buildings, and 21 buildings at Fort Concho. The survey also found 3 non-building resources and identified 98 high priority resources, including 21 endangered high priority resources recommended for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. Key historic districts and resources included the Girl Scout Headquarters, Fort Concho Addition, Oriente Barrio, Southside Commercial District, Rio Concho Historic District, and wool-related resources. The survey report recommends educating the public and promoting historic preservation.
