Create Success With Analytics: Living With Technical Debt - Balancing Quality...Aggregage
As a Product Manager, you probably have to deal with technical debt. Regularly. Whether you like it or not - because it can’t be avoided. Unexpected details pop up, as small as UX that needs clean-up, and as big as a previously unforeseen flaw in the infrastructure of a project. We have to accept that nobody gets away without some technical debt. And of course, the longer you take to deal with your technical debt, the more difficult it becomes to address fully.
Feeling frustrated? Fortunately, we can take a step back, gain clarity, and see how the decisions we make impact our technical debt. Then, we can make decisions about how we want to balance technical debt with other priorities. Are we willing to live with some level of technical debt in order to ship product and meet deadlines? Can we mitigate technical debt to get to an MVP faster?

Here are the questions from the chat:
Q: How do you prioritize technical debt pay down vs new features?
A: There's no single right answer, but some things to consider:
- Understand impact of TD on future development
- Estimate effort for TD vs features
- Involve engineers in prioritization
- Set minimum TD paydown each cycle
- Consider TD that enables new features
- Balance long term health with short term wins
Q: How do you estimate technical debt?
A: A few common ways to estimate technical debt:
- Subjective rating (high, medium, low) of code quality issues
- Time estimates to refactor or fix specific code smells

We've all experienced the tension that occurs between designers, product managers, and engineers during release time. Scope creep is one key culprit, but another one that isn't often talked about amongst teams is when and how to handoff specs, designs, and code. In this presentation, Poornima Vijayashanker, formerly founding engineer at Mint.com, and currently Founder of two startups BizeeBee and Femgineer discusses about:
* How to setup a process for handoffs that is flexible.
* How to measure the success of the process and refine it over time.
* How to coordinate with teams outside of product and engineering in order to meet business goals.
About the Speaker
Poornima Vijayashanker is a software engineer, entrepreneur, speaker, blogger, and lecturer. After graduating from Duke University with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer science she moved out to Silicon Valley to begin her career as an R&D Engineer. After a couple of years she was lured into startup land. Here first startup was Mint.com, where she was the founding engineer. After Mint's acquisition, she transitioned from being a founding engineer to a founder. Currently she is the CEO & Founder of two startups: BizeeBee and Femgineer, and is spending the fall of 2013 lecturing at Duke University. When she's not running companies and building products she's practicing Bikram yoga, cooking, or traveling around the world.

This webinar discusses managing project scope and preventing scope creep. Scope creep occurs when additional functionality is added that was not in the original project requirements, potentially jeopardizing deadlines and budgets. Common causes of scope creep include poorly defined requirements, lack of change control, and gold plating by developers. Scope creep can be avoided by writing a detailed scope statement, ensuring accurate requirements, and establishing a formal change request process. Managing expectations and having a good rapport with stakeholders can help control scope changes.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.
