This document presents a framework for constructing a compelling business architecture that addresses CEO and board challenges. It discusses a "golden triangle" that integrates business and IT using three basics: organizational structure, applications, and common business terms. It presents the DeBoever Enterprise Value Framework (DEVF) which uses six domains including business architecture, information architecture, and application architecture. It provides examples of how to map information architecture to organizational structure and applications using common terms from an exploration and production company. This mapping addresses CEO questions about how IT understands the business and is adding value.
