Earning this certification demonstrates the company's commitment to sustainability and aligns with customers seeking to reduce their environmental footprint. To receive the certification, Service by Medallion showed compliance with five principles of quality systems, service delivery, human resources, health and safety, and management commitment. The certification was awarded by an independent assessor and recognizes the company's innovation in green programs.

1. SERVICE BY MEDALLION EARNS CIMS-GB CERTIFICATION WITH HONORS.
Mountain View, California, October 28, 2014 – Having undergone a comprehensive assessment of its management practice, protocols, documentation and field green cleaning operations, Service by Medallion was able to earn ISSA’s CIMS-GB CERTIFIED status with HONORS. “Earning this certification reinforces our commitment to sustainability and strategically aligns us with our customers seeking to reduce the impact of their environmental footprint,” said Service by Medallion Vice President and Chairman of Medallion’s Green Committee, Elias Nacif.
To earn CIMS-GB certification, Service by Medallion demonstrated its compliance with the five core principles of the CIMS Standard: quality systems; service delivery; human resources; health, safety, and environmental stewardship; and management commitment. According to Andres Moreno, Associate—Medallion Green Committee, “the auditing process was extremely rigorous, but having a third party recognize innovation in our programs made it all worth it.” The assessment was conducted by an independent accredited Cleaning Industry Management Standard – Green Building Assessor.
CIMS is part of the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard. The GB designation applies to a Green Building Criteria that demonstrates successful implementation and demonstrated a commitment to the delivery of environmentally preferable services designed to meet customer needs and expectations. In November 2013, the United States Green Business Council published the newest version of LEED-EB which includes CIMS-GB as a direct compliance option for the new "Green Cleaning Policy" prerequisite.
Service by Medallion demonstrates compliance with Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) Green Building assessment and is hereby awarded CIMS-GREEN BUILDING CERTIFICATION WITH HONORS.
