This document summarizes two studies on religion and education. The first study was a randomized controlled quantitative study of 225 eleventh grade students that found students want peace, believe religion is key to dialogue but not conflict, and prefer religious studies over theology. The second study, called REDCo, was a mixed methods study across eight European nations with 8,000 participants that also found students want religious dialogue not conflict and to feel safe in their education. The document references these two studies and their results on the relationship between religion, education, dialogue and conflict.
