It is believed that if someone kisses the other person under
the mistletoe, they will be happy together.

Every year thousands of people watch
the big „switch on” around the begining
of November in London. Often a
famous person switches christmas
lights on.
7. Christmas food
In the UK, the main Christmas meal is usually eaten at lunchtime or early afternoon on
Christmas Day.
It is normally roast turkey, roast and all the trimmings which means vegetables like carrots,
peas,stuffing and sometimes bacon and sausage.
12. Fasting
We don’t eat anything on Christmas Eve before the
firts star appears on the sky.
13. Christmas supper
When we lay the tableon the day of Christmas Eve,
we put some hay under the table cloth. Many people
have one additional place by the table- it is believed
that an unexpected guest may come to every house.
14. Wafer
We all share the wafer wishing one another health,
happiness and all the best.
15. Pasterka
Christmas Eve is finished by going to Chorch for a
Midinight Mass service. Many people go to
the church for the mass at midnight.
