Director of Development Jan-Apr 2013 and Jan-Apr 2014.
 Prepared customized written materials, including case statements, proposals, stewardship
reports and correspondence for major gift and stewardship initiatives, that resulted in
solicitation of new gifts and renewal of existing donors
 Lead the development and recruitment of key major gift volunteers, including cultivation,

dedicated 100% to the campaign, working directly with the Director of Philanthropy, the Chief Executive
Officer and the Campaign Cabinet volunteers.
 Developed, implemented and managed a $15 million capital campaign, including helping to set
the campaign goal, developing and maintaining budget, developing all planning, training and
case materials, volunteer recruitment, training and management, prospect identification,
research and strategy development, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, from the post-
feasibility study stage forward, and managing one direct report (prospect researcher).
 Contributed to raising more than $12.5 million in private support toward a $15 million
fundraising goal
 Developed strategies and solicitations of more than 200 new donors, including more than 30
new donors at $25,000+, ten new donors at $100,000+, one donor at $1 million, and one donor
at $5 million.
 Instrumental in identifying, researching and strategizing with the Director of Philanthropy and
the CEO to successfully secure a $5 million donation – believed to be the largest on record to a
social services organization in Canada's history at that time.

campaign goal by mid-2011. Learned at the 2011 Grand Opening that many were successfully
solicited.
 Increased staff support of the campaign from a satisfactory 80% secured between 2007 and
2009 to an unprecedented 95% by May 2010 through staff education, presentations and direct
solicitations.
 Project lead on all campaign media and materials development, including a 3-minute virtual tour
that was included in all campaign packages and shown at all YWCA events to garner interest and

 Project lead for hiring donor recognition vendor including proactively researching and
