Someone who is not part of, is shut or excluded
from a social group, country, family ect.

4. Sign’s of alienation involving
Christine in Book.
 The Birth of Raimond Gaita, excluded herself
from her family and rejected her son. Thus family
alienates her as a result of looking after her child

5. Reasons For Alienation
 Christine was at a primitive and immature age
of late teens to early twenties when she got
married and had a baby. Clearly she was not
ready to take the a the title “Wife” or “Mother”.
This lead lead to self alienation from family/
also reasons why family + society alienates
her, because of childish behaviors.
 Illness from labor and escalating depression
caused by unwanted responsibilities thrusted
upon her.
