Kayleigh Jackson is a 16 year old girl in her final year at High
School. She lives in a council flat in South East London with
her alcoholic mother in her early thirties, who completely
ignores the simple motherly roles, such as cooking dinner, and
being supportive towards her daughter.
Kayleigh is an intelligent young girl with potential,however
with no motivation or support from her home home life she fails
to try and get anywhere with it.
During the film the audience will see what it’s like to live
with an alcoholic mother. They will see Kayleigh reveal the
struggles she faces on a daily basis, from having to care for
her mother to the intensity of being alone in dealing with her
problems. The audience will feel sympathy toward Kayleigh, and
maybe even slightly to her mother because of her problems.
