This document outlines an assignment to complete a comparative ethical analysis of Christianity and Judaism based on a case study about a man named George suffering from ALS. Students are asked to address several worldview questions for each religion, including their views on reality, the natural world, humanity, death, knowledge, morality, and history. The case study is then analyzed to determine how each religion would interpret George's suffering and the value of his life, what considerations would influence decisions around euthanasia, and the morally justified options. Students must present their own view and support it with academic sources representing each religion.
