Christ Lutheran Church of Clarendon Hills provides faith learning opportunities for people of all ages. They offer various bible study groups, men's groups, and faith development programs for adults. For children and youth, they have children's messages, children's church, KidSpark program, Sunday school, and middle school ministry that uses experiential learning like camps and retreats to explore topics in a fun and engaging way.

Growing in Faith
We encourage adults of all ages to grow
in their faith. Small groups meet through-
out the year to study God’s word, and de-
velop relationships with God and one an-
other.
Bible Studies on Saturday and Sunday
Mornings, and various Thursday eve-
nings, take a look at various books of the
Bible, while a Saturday morning thematic
study is filled with various points of view.
Two men’s groups meet for monthly
breakfast, and fellowship. Opportunities
for faith development and serving God are
regular parts of our men’s ministry.
Faith Stepping Stones
At various age levels, parents
and their children learn about
various aspects of the faith,
such as the Sacraments, The
Bible, Prayer and Serving oth-
ers. These opportunities are
intended to be short retreats to
energize students, equip
parents to teach, and lift up
the youth in worship.

2. New Approaches …. Emphasizing Traditional Values
Interactive Learning for Kids
Children’s Messages are small,
kid- sized sermons given in a
language they understand.
Children’s Church is a kid’s version
of big people’s church, but done in
short sessions, to keep their attention
while learning about God’s plan for
their lives.
KidSpark Children’s Program on Sun-
day is never boring, because we do
hands on learning in a variety of ways,
including small group discussions, crafts,
learning videos, and more. All of this is
designed to make learning fun for kids of
all ages.

Middle School Ministry
Middle School Ministry is perfect for
the busy family juggling multiple sched-
ules. Flexibility and a variety of learning
experiences are employed to keep kids
involved.
Learning through experience comes
in different forms: camp, field trips,
lock-ins, retreats, road trips; on relevant
topics such as money, peer relation-
ships, racism, death and sickness, etc.
These experiences help middle
schoolers build relationships with God
and one another, and are intended to
show explore how faith is lived out.
We don’t always play it safe with the
subjects we learn about. Topics we
have explored at our lock-ins include
Sin, Devil, Evil and Forgiveness sexual-
ity, and Peer pressure, Belonging and
Self Esteem.
