1978 – 2005 Newcastle International Airport Motor Transport multi skilled
technician.
Working in a multi skilled environment, Maintaining the airports fleet of
vehicles and plant, also maintaining a wide range of tenant’s vehicles
including ground power units, aircraft de icing rigs, push back tugs and
electric steps and tugs etc. Acting up as motor transport engineer when he is
on holiday or at meetings etc. Working shifts, making decisions, prioritising
jobs and filling in the appropriate paperwork all unsupervised. A member of
the aircraft recovery team and holding a first aid certificate, and defibrillator
license. (See attached sheet for more work related qualifications.) Supervising
the snow clearing operation during the winter period and giving snow
clearing training when required.
