MAKE or MAR
LIFE IS WHAT WE MAKE IT

• We all make so many choices every day.
  – What to eat
  – What to wear
  – When to go out
  – Where to go
  – How much to spend
  – Who to mix with
  – What to do or not do etc
Life and Its Choices

• Whether we realise it or not, everyday we get up we are
presented with a menu of choices.
• To eat or not to eat – it’s a choice…
• To live a life as God intended – it’s a choice…
• To go to work or not – it’s a choice…
• To forgive or not to forgive – it’s a choice…
• To be happy or sad – it’s a choice…
• To let go of the past and our pain bodies – it’s a choice…
• To be rich or to be poor – it’s a choice…
• To succeed or to fail – it’s a choice…
• And the list goes on.
What to know about choice
1. Choice is inevitable – Every action or inaction is a choice.

2. Choice makes or mars: affects our lives
   – Gen 49:3-4 "Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the
first fruits of my strength, preeminent in dignity and
preeminent in power. 4 Unstable as water, you shall not have
preeminence, because you went up to your father's bed; then
you defiled it—he went up to my couch!
   – 1Ki 17:9 -16 "Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to
Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow
there to feed you." 10 So he arose and went to Zarephath.
…15 And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and
her household ate for many days. 16 The jar of flour was not
spent, neither did the jug of oil become empty, according to
the word of the LORD that he spoke by Elijah.
3. To get the best from God, your choice must agree with His
words.
    – Amos 3:3 "Do two walk together, unless they have agreed
       to meet?

4. The devil is ever ready to help in choice making. Learn to say
“No” to him.
• Mat 4:3-4 And the tempter came and said to him, "If you are
the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of
bread." 4 But he answered, "It is written, "'Man shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the
   mouth of God.'“
Conclusion
• Always ensure your choices agree with God’s
word and plead for the Holy Spirit to lead you
  in making the right choice.

• Remember always – if the Lord brought you to
it, He’ll bring you through it (regardless of
how big or small your IT is).
